For the last two years they have continually over promised and under delivered. If the management have one brain cell between them you would think they would absolutely make sure they under promise and over deliver this year. Anything less than 20k would appear bad to the market. Maybe Q1 might be better than they are suggesting.

I felt the same too. But last quarter was shocking and they still did 18k ozs with significant excavator availability issues and a one week mine closure. So they can’t do that bad this quarter even with substantial maintenance. Can they? They only did 22k ozs last year for q1. So they surely must be able to manage that?!?

Disappointed in next years guidance but the lower amount is the same as what they achieved this year. So surely the guidance must be achievable. Debt is larger than I had hoped for but not unsurprising given the poor quarter. I feel this marks the low point for the company and roll forward a year and if all being well the company will be in a much better position. So I’m hoping for a slow recovery in the share price from here.

Barrick Gold said that they had enough supplies in store. So it all depends on whether HUM have had that as a risk in their mining plan and made sure they have enough supplies in store too...

@Bonkers this board is about sharing views. I’m not posting ‘sells’ I’m trying to research what might happen and ask questions. I think they are pretty valid questions given some of the views on POG seem out of odds with major banks forecasts.

I get all that about QE. But it’s a serious question. QE is tapering and will be finished before long. So why will the impact come 6 months or more on. I honestly see the POG of being a big risk to Hum if it gets to $1500 with their current ASIC value. And hence a risk to my investments. So interested in why you think the price will start rising massively in H2 this year given QE easing, rates going up. Waiting for 2032 for the price to come good isn’t going to do much for the share price if they have cash flow problems this year!

I've got to ask why do you think that the gold price is going to increase later in 2022? A lot of the major banks are forecasting a lower gold price some down as low as $1500 as interest rates start rising. I get inflation risk but inflation is here with us now and it doesn't seem to have impacted the price of gold over the last 6 months so why will it in the future?

I agree. I also think this is the last bit of bad news to come out now. With a new excavator being delivered in the next couple of weeks it should be improving for the start of the year. So for me it is positive news. I was getting concerned for cash flow and wondered if that was a reason for a lack of results on the drilling campaign. I honestly can’t believe that hum don’t own their own equipment and totally reliant on the mining contractor. I hope that they do a proper review on how to move forwards with them for next year!

So do you think that by "normalised production levels" we could assume that would mean the excavators are now mended and fully functional?

It was SCAP on 16.7. They have moved up to 17.2 and the others have not budged

A bit odd on level 2. Not seen this before. 7 out of the 8 market makers sitting on a bid of 17p. The other one is sitting on 16.7p. Any thoughts on this?

Any one heard anything regarding whether the broken excavators have been fixed? They were supposedly being fixed by the end of October.

I guess my question really is will I personally get a vote and will I be eligible for the 42p offer. If all our shares are bundled together then they will clearly exceed the 500,000 limit. I hold my shares in a Hargreaves Lansdown ISA. I have not been in a situation like this before. I know I can’t hold private shares in the isa so will have to bail out at 42p. But can anyone tell me how this will work practically. Will I get the voting forms through to me personally with my nomination or will it be wrapped up with all the Hargreaves and Lansdown shares in one big bucket? Apologies if this is a basic question, just not been in this situation before and would like some clarity if anyone can shed some light on this.

I think its a little optimistic as multiplying the current cash (due to the bubble in gas prices) is not realistic in moving forwards. My calculation would be to add a further £35M to the market capitalisation of the company based on your share price as of 30/6/2021 which is an additional 20p I think (£35M / 175M shares = 20p). So share price around 50p. This is probably a bit too pessimistic as the bubble will likely continue up to the end of Q1 2022 for then maybe add another £20M then share price might be around 60p at the end of Q1 2022. So based on your cash assumptions my assessment would be somewhere between 50-60p.
