Give a clue then Efofisksean...some facts on the structure of oil bearing strata would be good, I'd appreciate it certainly: porous rock, for instance, what significance does it have, in a good way, been thinking about it quite a lot.

AJED...Thanks, interesting stuff, my son's a wire line engineer, which is why I'm interested in oil exploration and I thought Irish oil was a romantic prospect, silly me. But that's life, you win some and lose some, but it's not over yet, Avalon, Spanish Point, New Grange, can they all be duds? Don't answer that. :-)

I agree with you Mrplodge, its sickening, we were in a far better position financially this time last year when we thought the decision was imminent You must be feeling positive to be thinking of averaging down, I'm beginning to fear the unthinkable, that the decision could go against us.
