Well, they already tried that with the NK judgement but our application was considered by the MI to be compliant with that.

The short answer is yes...I can't say they've actually announced it but the matter was debated in the Riksdag earlier this year and all parties (except MP) agreed that the process urgently needed to be streamlined. The government didn't vote in agreement with all the proposals, they registered a 'reservation' in some cases but only they said because the matter was already in hand.

"When the consulting firm Ramböll Management Consulting, on behalf of the Swedish Enterprise, investigated how time-consuming the environmental permit processes are, it was concluded that the average waiting time for all industries is just over three years, but for a mine the waiting time was 5.9 years without appeal and 6.9 years with appeal."

I'd presuming that is 5-9 and 6-9 not 5.9. ;-( But don't forget the government has committed itself to fixing the process in the last Parliament.

Agree with that Eric......we were told this would be decided according to the law not politics so the answer is long overdue.

Geovanni ....That's what he gets paid for...toughing it out. But it does look promising that Mining has been on his agenda this week. But I'm keeping the excitement under control just in case it needs to be spread it out a bit further.
