Can grant this exploitation licence.. ..kicking the door down won't achieve anything. Kurt has presented the government with more than they need to assess it and he can do no more....it isn't finished yet.

I don't know off hand. But there are some interesting issues that the Mineral Strategy hasn't taken account of because our situation is pretty unique I think.... it states that it's a simple matter applying for an exploration licence and takes about a year. But the Rule Book doesn't say what happens when a decision isn't made over a period of seven years, presumably time stops still, it's frozen.. When you have an exploration licence granted you must perform work to further the understanding of what's in the ground, within the time the licence is valid for or it will not be extended. So we're OK with KN on that score but with Parkijaure No 2, they refused to extend the licence..there was a work plan but no drilling because of our need to conserve funds, pending the decision of KN; the decision has been appealed but I don't know the result. This is only my interpretation of it, I'm only an investor not a legal person, but it's obviously a matter of considerable importance. We were recently granted a new licence at Parkijaure No 6... and my relief was great.

I hope it includes little us, particularly encouraging is the "supply" word, it's one thing knowing what's in the ground and it's another thing getting it out:-

One year's extension for exploration permits due to covid-19 The

government wants to give exploration companies, which according to current rules, no possibility of extending their exploration permits, an extra year to mitigate the effects of covid-19.
The proposal is now sent to the Law Council for review and concerns companies that are on the last extension and who have exploration permits that are valid on July 1, 2020.

The Swedish mining and mineral industry is of great importance to Sweden as a nation, both in the regional and local perspectives, but also outside Sweden's borders. It is about supply of raw materials, jobs, welfare and the development of new technology for a green transition.

An exploration permit is valid for three years. The possibility of extending an exploration permit is divided into three stages, according to which an extension can be applied for at a maximum of no more than three years, then a total of no more than four years and finally a maximum of five years. The requirements that must be met in order to be granted an extension increase for each step.

The proposal, which the government is now sending to the Swedish Legislative Council, concerns exploration permits that are on the last extension and which are valid on 1 July 2020 and mean that the maximum validity period for exploration permits covered by the proposal will be 16 years instead of 15 years. The proposal does not include exploration permits for coal, oil or gaseous hydrocarbons.

- Exploration is an important part of increasing the knowledge of what is in the soil and of applying for a processing concession. Through the extension, we can counteract serious consequences for the exploration companies and for the mining industry, given the prevailing situation.

Of the current exploration permit on April 1, 2020, 30 exploration permits are covered by the proposal, ie. state which has been extended as the last step extension and is valid July 1st 2020.

The implication in the government's response is always that it's a matter of work load and that the issue is complicated, which it isn't. Te Mining Strategy makes the claim that it's straightforward and takes about 1 year. The MI said the paperwork could take another year, about three years ago; it isn't about paperwork or environmental considerations, it's about politics. And we've been told (investors)....that there can be more than one ANI, they can coexist and our ANI was first in place, if a newcomer ANI can shove off an existing ANI, then ANIs aren't worth the paper they're written on. As an investor in Sweden I expect the truth and fair play from the authorities, not dissembling and obfustication

I really don't think the legal option is a good idea....we shouldn't have to take such action, the law should be enough. Mr Damberg said the law is enough, Mr Lofven said this would be decided according to the law not politics, according to the published process; Kurt is keeping up the pressure as will the KU investigation, they have declared that the work is prioritised and forthcoming and they must deliver.

Yes, the reason given isn't good enough, in fact in isn't the truth. I think Kurt's latest letter contains plenty ammunition to get this moving, it's the facts in all their glory.

Meaning of course exactly what Mr Baylan would have to say in answer to that question.

That question was asked six months ago, according to a post from Nalfaren on Avanza:

" I sent the question six months ago and then I got no clear answer other than that you would treat it quickly. Now, the answer is almost sound enough. That's really bad. I can't find any other words. You can be for or against a mine, but no one can be for such a long decision-making process, ”says Lars Hjälmered.

It's exactly what he would have to say... just thinking about it.

Back to Thursday meetings ...nothing on the agenda this week...should it be or shouldn't it be. And the KU investigation is still impending for autumn, which has got nothing (sort of) to do with the decision...it just keeps the pressure on the government.
