Sadley I have a feeling the US may suffer more and potentially quite severly.
South Korea are the leading example on how it can be done. Their populace do not resent state intervention and probabley do not have the political discord?

I agee with you Meerkat. In particular good news from Alaska could be a significant turn for PMO.
TD's move on securing supply price until July is also of significance and we may see some good fortune following a positive meeting in July.
Watching how the US control the virus is also must.
How Trump plays in supporting the economy and shale: from his history we know he is not afraid of borrowing others money. He will probabley write blank cheques on an executive order.

Oil still looking to get worse.
1. No indication of Russians /Saudi's comming together.
2. Trump trying to force MBS to reduce i.e threat of NO-OPEC. BUT can he introduce a promise of curbing shale production...not legal in the states.
3. Loss of consumer spending and flights to get worse world wide. Therefore increase in oil glut
4. OM very quiet: Can Italy ask for emergency dispensation on delay of payment?
5. Navitas funding raise: would be good if it was already secured but if it has not? PoO must surley remain low (or go lower if virus spreads in states) for most of Q2 probabley Q3 of 2020

I got it wrong back when I thought the Russians would support and suffered for that error. Wish I had taken the hair cut.
Made 25-27% from BP. & RDSA but am out now (majors).
IMO, Looking at the available news:
1. Will the virus get contained adequately in the states.
If not: demand for oil is going to go down further in the gas guzzling states
Consumer spending will obviously be reduced
2. Flights are not going to be back to pre virus levels for quite some time. Again less demand for oil.
3. What can the US do to force the Saudi's to reduce. We no Trump will bring up NO-OPEC threat again, will MBS be cowed? Possibley now he has fallen out with Putin.
4. What does Putin do. Is Russia happy for lower prices...it looks to be heading that way?
5. Shale getting support from Trump?

Where to look for indicators: Trying to understand if the Russians can drive this further. They can potential impose more draconian rules to control the virus in country. They would probabley not implement significant financial support to the populace. Are they more reliant on a domestic market (therefore no signifcant job down turn) or imports.

Has MBS forgotton about being hung out to dry on the US quotas by Trump, when he ( Trump) gave those dispensations i.e Japan, India etc etc
Lots of plays in action here and the Saudi's do not seem to have many friends.

Russians reportedly want to keep PoO cheaper than US to hold the European markets.
Trump wants low prices but knows US shale need it at +50. Can he afford to cover the call on the 2020 loans?
Saudis reportedly need it around $80. All they can do is flood the market. They tried that before.

Going to be interesting how this plays out.

Tough to be positive when the share price is 5.68p and the majority stake holders are not worried about Moody & Co
Dependent on PMO and Navitas AND remuneration from a failed business venture (no not the PMO contract, no not the requirment to sell cash making assets (ps + trouble getting paid by the Egyptions i.e. again terrible contract knowledge)
RKH not actually producing Oil just own the potential.
Make absolutely NO mistake the market is valuing RKH on performance and management. Why would be invest when the chief Monkey (12+1) has continued to fxck it up.

IF 88e strike PMO farm in would be of significant help to PMO and their exploration team will have been pivitol to assisting the production side again. No wonder TD spoke so well of them in his last chat with Malkey.

Totally my opinion: the initial shock is over, a boil that needed to be burst has been and the Russians may have helped unwittingly or rightly (if they had cut may have just delaid what was going to happen and the focus remained on the virus).
If as EmeraldCarrot commented on and they do participate in a potential cut of eg his example 300k and Opec a slightly less than 1mil...then it could add the small but needed stability to ride out the panic of virus.
Still not sure if there are bigger games to be played but does anyone like to lose billions unnecessarily ? You might need it later. Putin is ex KGB and a experienced longterm player so you never know.
If is continues tomrow, well It is my error on thought process.
Next thought: how dadley do BP want out from old assets...my opinion and kowing them: a lot.
They have newer assets and developments...both Shell and BP have been gettiing out of the NS for yrs...even more so now. Is there a lot of buyers out there?

IMO the Russian populace are used to hard living and Putin is still popular and disrupting the US and west as much as possible. Europe still need the OnG he supplies.

The problem with the OPEC+ "alliance" is the the Russian have tottaly different political agenda's and infratructure requirements than the Saudi's and the old OPEC countries.
It does show though how bloated the saudi's have gotten when the reportedly need/want $80 and the Russians can manage at $40?
Will OPEC aim for sub $35 and raise their required capital via production?
This is going to be an uncomfortable 2020 before it stabalise again.
Add into the mix the potential failure of shale loan repayments...how big are the loan debts, who are the lenders and how big is that affect on US financial institutions?
A good drilling campaign for PMO farm into 88e may now be of some significance to unlucky PMO.
TD is still trying to manage what he inherited and buy his way out by adding known producing asssets (BP) was a good move until this virus debarcle. I am supprised they have not issued news / update over the "suprise" "issues" over Zama though? Whats the source point for that "supprise" news output? ARCM tactics?
