When it was hovering around 3p it was a no brainier it would go.. yes I thought about 5p, but it managed 4.5.. so no far off. Plus I made a good profit. I never understand why someone like yourself is constantly monitoring the chat if you are going long?… More of a trading tool if you ask me. But each to their own. Rumours are very good for profit!

Mongolian government officials have repeatedly said that they are keen to make the country more resource independent and that they want to boost domestic extraction. For that, they will need foreign players such as Petro Matad.

Although the local Petroleum Authority has recommended that the Block XX Exploitation Licence be approved the final decision is now with the cabinet. Given the delays, Petro Matad is unlikely to start operations at Heron until the spring of 2023.

In the meantime, everything has been put in place for the company to be able to start operations quickly once it receives the official green light. All the pumping, downhole completion and power generation equipment is already on site and ready for a quick launch while the talks with Mongolian drilling services provider DQE Drilling are in the final stages of discussion. If discussions with Petro China proceed according to plan then the Chinese oil company will deal with oil processing, exports and sales.

As Mongolia’s bitter winter sets in, unless there is a regulatory decision soon, Petro Matad’s share price could end up hibernating like everything else in the country until March, when operations restart again.

To be honest if there was a leak then we would see large buyers.. I can only see the larger trades today as selling activity from the placing

Maybe they want to dangle the MOU-3 carrot before announcing that MOU-2 is a no go? I personally think it’s ridiculous.. No mention of MOU-2.

It was stated that the Velociraptor drilling dates would be announced this month if I’m correct.

Let’s be honest most shares rise on anticipation these days… it seems to be a safer option for many investors.

Craig Howie at Shore Capital, the group’s NOMAD and Joint Broker, has an updated risked net asset value of 14.5p on the shares, against 11.5p previously.

Shore Capital rate the company’s Velociraptor-1 well as being a ‘potential company-maker’, targeting 200mmbbl.

His estimates for turnover in the 2023 year to end December are $4.68m (nil), producing a loss before tax of $2.37m ($3.27m).

For next year he has predicted a very much higher revenue of $13.87m, upon which he forecasts a $1.64m pre-tax profit.

Analyst Peter Hitchens at Progressive Research, influenced by the Velociraptor prospect, has increased his risked exploration net asset value for the shares from 29.0p to 58.7p per share.

Very good chance this week of passing 5p before any news..IMO..
