Any Oil company with a similar current revenue/profitability profile as Tlw, listed in the states, has a market cap 3-4 times that of Tlw. The LSE is low on liquidity and companies like Tlw will eventually be taken out - not by the big boys but US oilies of a similar size.

I've criticized Tlw's drilling campaigns in the recent past so I am not going to defend Rahul on that. However, all oil production declines unless you do something about and all Tlw has done is halt the decline, spending a lot of $'s to do it. Having said that, present production has produced $196mln after tax profit for 6 months

Wondering why Tullow appears to be the only quoted company that is obliged to pay down their debt. Most other companies operate with a certain level of debt. Tlw are reaching a level of debt that will be appropriate for its revenue, profit and interest cover.

Anton, nobody has said that Kenya is dead and buried. Officially EPRA are basically saying that Tlw didn't show they could finance the project or how they could deliver it technically. Really? So after all this time, what was in that FDP? I believe this is driven from political developments just prior to the deadline for conclusion of the review. Ruto had just presided over proposed increases in taxes with ensuing riots. And shortly afterwards announces a major oil development which the masses would see as another opportunity for creaming off/corruption - never going to happen. So just delay things until the political landscape improves.

It is ridiculous to suggest an FDP that has been 3-4 years in the making with numerous revisions, failed to show how the project would be financed and delivered technically - Rahul is bad, but he couldn't be that bad (could he?).
