If true we are in the clear great news.
Bloomberg just quoted the Gold price adjustment today is purely down to the rising dollar that's all. I suppose they feel with Mr Trump now out canvassing that must be a good thing? Time will tell but I have a funny feeling that the dollar will not continue to rise for long. However if the dollar does rise our earnings from sales rated in USD when converted back to GBP will be greater. So lose some but also win some. The best news is if the mines movement has been sorted. If so happy days!

Regret today the dollar is rising which is bad from commodity prices in precious metals (how long it will last -who knows?) but the good thing is as the dollar rises our earnings as Gold and Silver are rated in USD will be more when converted back into GBP. So one bad thing and one good thing.

At the current time we see most stocks falling, market uncertainty and no sign of a vaccine to coming to rescue. Until the lifeboat arrives with a sudden flooding of vaccines to take your pick the markets and economies will pick up. We will have inflation first if the economies cannot keep up with demand and then higher interest rates. We have :-
Precious metals responding higher to 1). uncertainty and likely stimuli, 2). As a hedge against higher interest rates and inflation and 3). All the benefits of increasing precious metals prices (caused partly by fund managers investing into ETF's particularly at the moment) and 4). None of the worries of having precious metals miners shares of having to hold physical gold/silver oneself and / or having to pay a bank to look after it. I see many advantages here at the moment.
Owlsey - I have exactly the same as you. I was paid off after needing life saving surgery and for the same as you they said I had too much money to be paid benefits. However that made me more determined to do well here and in the end I just laughed as I was able starting off with some small funds gradually increase to earn far more working from home 6/7 years ago that I was in London. I also now realise that in a way my employer did me a favour as if I had been commuting I am sure I would have caught the virus. So try to look on the advantageous side I did and it worked.

They said hold at 190 but new price 2.00? Perhaps once the mine has been reassessed or we have a Management report we can see another upgrade coming and a reason for the directors to be buying in here with support?

No doubt as a result of the Silver price increased by an unbelievable 59% in the past six months. I feel a safer place to be here in the precious metals market at the moment.

When the last figs were given in June the Gold price was 1600oz and now is is over 1900oz - I just had a look st Silver prices and for the past six months they have increased by an unbelievable 59.18% today as we speak. So I see both HOC and FRES benefitting from this on the FTSE. I cannot see too many other ftse shares offering such benefits as being in here as a safety stock with increased earnings potential. Sooner or later the big fund managers will see this too. IMHO.

We now need him to start tweeting to Pelosi about the idea of increased stimuli and the Fed needs to act further to raise our earnings further but already I see the Gold and Silver prices well above those when last results issued i.e. In June Gold was just 1600oz - now it is 1921. I feel safer here than many other shares including financials.

Mr T thanks again -agree we should not take over the board -but I will say we had a Covid19 Planning meet, & the govt gave authority for the head of the local council be able to make a decision under Covid rules. The councillors were consulted (gave a majority vote in favour & still they refused permission) they will not give minutes of the meeting either but issued short notes. Our planning consultant thinks we will have field day. Planning officers did visit site say no other neighbours were affected and then Council management over ruled them - as I say the whole think stinks.
For Centamin -hope we pick up this afternoon I see both Fres and Hoc slightly up (even with precious metals holding water at some high levels but more than likely will rise further especially if the FED is to rescue the USA economy. I am pretty sure as some have reported on here the situation is far worse than reported World wide.

Mr T -great advice with a normal council but I regret the local planning officers are being directed by their senior management and we suspect one of our neighbours has influence. The local councillors have also told porkies by saying they had actually been on our site when they had not. We know that for sure as we also care for ex-police german shepherds, and so lets just say if they had been on site we would have known about it -or rather they would. To be honest we are taking the council to the Sec. of state I am fed up with them. I am also going after costs and we have a very experienced planning appeals specialist representing Dad, who suspects the same as me " Foul play" - so we will see what happens.

Trump just posted per bloomberg that Pelosi package is no where near good enough -likely now to move up the precious metals prices as the stimuli whether bigger or not will have a positive effect on the precious metal prices.

Just reported on bloomberg Trump is already saying Pelosi's stimuli package is now where near enough and so as expected the arguments continue to rage. Just seen the Silver and whats more Gold price charts are starting to move upwards which is good news for us here. Looks like the stock market may be open in the states but the treasury and bond markets are closed for Columbus day.

Mr T some very good political and social educating points. I wish my neighbours were more compassionate as they all have got together and rejected my plans for extending out house to provide an Annex and Study for Dad despite us having a large garden for it. They just think of themselves. My wife enjoys her books too but everytime I see one I see a new shelf being required, ha.ha.
Back to Centamin I have a feeling we are treading water awaiting My Johnsons speech later for some market direction. I would suggest in all probability we will start moving up later however anyway but NYSE is I believe shut for Columbus day? Maybe we should have more special days to put less reliance on lock down, ha.ha. ATB one and all.

Ken -I feel a lot better knowing I am not the only one that has to cope with the oldies views on stimulating conversation is with disagreement. I also seem to remember when we moved Dad over to be closer to us he broke the removal companies record of over 258 box's and they told me the worst people to move are Vicars and School teachers. It appears they always have a large collection of books, are untidy and can never throw anything away!!
I also agree with you that this board is one of the better ones for a mature conversation unlike others I have been on.
Still back to Centamin I have just seen the headlines of Boris and Merkel not yet solving Brexit and the Fed, Tump and Pelosi still playing games. Also the Mail on Sunday referring to the possibility of negative interest rates and we see Gold and Silver prices not surprisingly moving up again which I cannot see faltering for sometime yet. Perhaps yet again as when Brexit first took hold the precious metals miners is the place to be. ATB & Good luck for when we open trade Monday.

Thanks Mr T for your comments on Dad - I love him to buts but he can be a nuisance he enjoys a good old rant (I try to avoid arguments with him) but he likes them as he says it stimulates the brain? I suppose he is used to confrontation with angry parents, ha.ha.
For the Gold/Silver miners I saw comex and spot moving up very fast late Friday and so we could I agree be in a very good place here next week.
I can see a full lockdown coming at the rate of the new viruses coming. Someone once said it the whole world had a lock down at the same time for two weeks the virus would have nowhere to go. However it would be impossible to implement and lets face it the drugs companies would not like it either. Do they actually want the virus to blow away on its own natural course anyway as after all they has been a hell of a lot of money going their way at the moment? Or am I being too outspoken?

I also have been reading they have interests in Canada where HOC also have a new deal signed in. This is certainly a Miner with ambition. I have always been fond of HOC. It looks like not only a very good short term but also a longer investment too.

Hi Chaps thanks for the comments -yes pretty proud of Dad he was the longest serving headmaster in london (Sidcup area of Bexley) and got there from having nothing as a child (sometimes not even any shoes to go to school with after his own father died when he was only 2 - no welfare state in those days ).
For the White Hunter yes he said when taking over Acacia that he was not interested in smaller mines less than 500,000 oz a year, and so sold off their Mali and was in the proceeds of doing so in of interest Burkina Faso. He still owes Acacia shareholders for those divis as I have not had anything paid to me yet. (perhaps they have not yet been paid?). So lets see but he likes buying and then developing further so he might see a growth potential at the very moment we have in Egypt. He does talk a good game (as well as shooting it) so we are facing a Challenge from someone experienced in sorting problems? He particularly likes sorting out those in court and with govts (ring any bells). However last week on Bloomberg the white hunter was talking about more consolidation is required in the Gold industry? I wonder why?

No wonder we rose back up 7% today- perhaps we will get next week off to a good start too. I bought my wife some at 2.77 a few weeks ago and so am in the dog house until we pass that point, - hope we do.

See Silver tonight at 25.14oz now and Gold up to USD1930 - At this rate we will be over the magic USD2000oz and possibly 27oz (Silver level) to help us start off next week. GLA

Looks like you had some foresight to keep some in here. I see the commodity prices have risen quite sharply tonight. I can see the Gold prices rising back up to 2,000oz at this rate. I see Silver tonight on catch up is currently up over 5% today which will help my little spread across my other holdings in FRES AND HOC. -GLA.
Mike I care for my 92 year old father too, (we lost my wifes Mum recently) (I retired early to do so) & have stayed retired despite offers to go back up to the smoke, money is not everything but it helps & so I know how hard work it can be looking after the olduns -although I am not getting any younger either. Hi Pitterpatter- I have family connections here so will be back. I am making the most of the NYSE at the moment and will be back most likely next week - Fairtrader, Barchild and Yoyoma -think I am a joke which makes me laugh. I have had fun here for the past few weeks anyway but must concentrate now on my Gold and Silver mining interests now the stimuli proposal is being put to congress.
