I will look forward to the trading statement 11 days after the close of the 52 weeks. We can then see what is said and how it affects the share performance. Until then no one can say how good or bad the business has done. Also it will be good to see if any other items have come to light which the company is obliged to mention. The fact that the Company is issuing a statement so soon after the fiscal year end is a good thing in my mind. We will then after be able to access the share price. IMHO. DYOR.

Lejb -think you will find that is not the case. The Company web is stating Fiscal yr end for the 52 weeks is 30/9/23 and they will be making a trading statement 11 days later! See extract from the "official comp web site" appears Morning Star have not updated their records for the Stock mkt but brokers are aware.

Just bear in mind Dealers when short of stock lower share prices - so as to make people feel they should sell. Unfortunately they know people will sell when a share price falls and some times stupidly buy when the share price is going up.

Karl - we just need to be patient. Warm weather is helping sales. This September is already breaking temp records. With prop. Valued by the accountants at £2Billion and with £1Billion in loans clearly the Company has a surplus margin. Sooner or later someone will see this. Increased sales with further improve the credit worthiness (even more so when rates start falling). Not long to wait for the full year results - dealers want you to sell so they have the stock - I am not tempted in any way to sell but instead have seen seen buying opportunities. There is no doubt that some sellers will be buying back soon especially if the results are gathering some upward momentum. Good luck but be patient and not be pushed into selling. IMHO.

I hope to see somewhere over 40p -others will laugh but the Fed deputy chair was speaking on Bloomberg today saying he felt Rates must have to come down due to such a strong dollar. Once this shenanigan starts we should start to see better market reaction. So time for me to buy some more!

Wonder if the closure of many Schools will help lunchtime meals at local community pubs such as what Marston offer? In some ways parents will need a lunchtime pint too? I wonder if it from a sales point of view will be looked upon as an extended school holiday? I feel we need increased sales as the BOD have said to over £1billion in sales, and then as rates come down to re-structure remaining loans for an extended period at a cheaper rate as property values increase on cheaper rates to move above the current £2billion level. Perhaps also if excess profits are being shown to give the shareholders something back in return even if a small divi it point towards a Company now being post pandemic in a better financial long term position.

Prices being offered by Easy-j are very competitive for not Just Skiing but also for Spanish holidays in the sun, Paris and other major cities to come. They refer to what was it £24.99 to Alicante -unbelievable - in fact cheaper than driving to the Lake District or lets face it anywhere north tbh. They refer to an 8M local base of customers and this could end up being more the way they are going. It must be working for Easy-J - otherwise they would not be expanding so many flights from Southend. GLA. PS. Profit takers were in today after yesterdays tip off of 6% rise.

Suspect very soon we will be in the 40p mark -costs uploaded and 60% plus of sales in the summer will boost profits due to be released.

Hot UK September weather will help further for an extended window this year.

A brand new flight is being offered and advertised today with flights to the French Alps and all new flights I see to the Alps as well as to Alicante another recent addition are very competitively priced. Should drive up pax nos. IMHO.

For me I see turnover increasing and with increased sales greater economies of scale on supply leading to low costs over competitors where they still own 40% of the Carlsberg Marston partnership that one once said had to sell and supply their own beers. Something most of their competitors cannot offer.

30 degree heat is forecast to continue this week - happy days if warmer weather means greater sales which the BOD said!

If sales do increase with the weather we could be in for a star fish! Ha,ha!

Marston said warmer weather helps sales? Could see better results very soon? Record highs and an extended run of sun will be good too.

Maybe look at last updates from sales Trend line post pandemic very good and sales continue to grow according to the official Company releases. Trouble is with a low share price the price is volatile and any trades have an effect on price. However day traders will look at this as a good thing as they can also time their buys/sells.

Chinese already adding stimuli and Job data out soon from the states may give a clue to MKT sentiment in the West. For Marston looks like into next week we have fine weather here in the 20's - so maybe sales will continue to show growth. Could be good on more than one front - fingers crossed for the Mkt as a whole.

Well it wouldn't surprise me if someone was ready to go for Marston. With an accountants NPV on share price of what was it 96 or 97p I am surprised it is still so low and this is based on sentiment for the reason of 32-33p. However if the numbers continue to come back post pandemic sooner or later it will feature in fund managers radar, etc. If interested rates have peaked this will help the whole market sentiment to be honest too. AGM results are "easy" (excuse the pun) to find and well documented on the official company web sites. Bio mass sale proceeding at a price to give liquidity to continue operations.

Southend Airport Operations continue into 2024 with discussions taking place with a number of Airlines for further expansion in routes and in taking up capacity from the other airports.

For any sale the Company is impressed by the number of suitors interested in Southend Airport to give shareholders value and crystallise their asset, and like the other UK airports they have seen growing traffic returning towards pre-pandemic levels. I see the share price rose at close. Company statement is full of confidence. DYOR. GLA.

Going forward another expense avoided by Southend Airport is the avoidance of Ulez for the Outer zone as well as the congestion charge for the City zone. Something Microsoft news has just pointed out to me. One sometimes has to look at the wider longer term picture here, and Heathrow and London City would fall within those zones.

I would most certainly not be shorting this share at the moment and see a wider picture emerging. DYOR. GLA. ps. Maybe Easyjet were aware of this when announcing their flights from Southend recently. More to come soon. Watch out for Ryan Air too as they are most upset with Heathrow.

I am Happy to hang around at this price and maybe top up before the AGM - which is coming soon - indicates to me we have some better news for share holders, otherwise it would have been postponed. The fact that airlines are expanding into Southend shows this is no dead duck to me, otherwise they would not have done so. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I have mine. I topped up recently and my shares are profitable but I am not in for a quick buck as I see longer term value whether sold or re-structured with a new buyer. Time will tell very soon. GLA.

Southend Airport was a success pre-pandemic and is coming back. Everyone local wants this to happen as does the local council/ London to Liverpool St. railway/ local business men, etc, etc. I will also support this share and time will tell if my investment here is worth it - however for me at the moment not everything revolves around a short term gain, as I also like to support local businesses.

I am sure the negative input on here from one or two only makes the Company Management more determined to try and make this a success. To me the Company is surprising with the regularity of the updates and additional routes to an ever increasing popularity extent. The problems the large Airports are having gives Southend a fair chance in my opinion to take more on and the Airlines will soon see an opportunity here I am sure. By what Ryan Air have been saving they could be back here soon too. I will continue to invest with my gut feeling which over the past 10 years has been very successful. GLA.
