Yep -moving back up quite nicely it would be good to get the year end report very soon to turn the Endeavour supporters long and for the newer followers to put some meat on the bones. I still feel we have room to move up a lot higher from here Gold prices still rising tonight and looking back to late August I can see I bought some then at £152 and £163. I am glad I added some more just before Christmas where common sense dictated to me that the 4th Qtr report would be pro-active.

Yes - I have a feeling here chaps someone may have got wind of improving figures and that a release is coming and our share price is already starting to move back up quite nicely, with repetitive buys coming in no doubt in anticipation of an improving mining report, these could be so called Endeavour supporters turning long, but also the higher Gold prices and increased demand for the precious metals market is helping us here too - all happy days in my opinion.
All of my others miners are now moving up fast too.

Speedy these are disclosure forms being a stock market rules compliance when an approach is made such as what we have in our situation here where under the transparency rules the major holders have to disclose their interests or dealing. IE.. We have just had a couple of RNS releases to show Vanguard have upped their ownership from 3.18% to 3.99% - also State Street have made a disclosure too. Sometimes market traders disclose dealings that are for their own clients . So you need to read each one to get a feel for what is going on.

I watched Bloomberg this morning and it is felt that most analysts now see into 2020 the precious metals being the market to be in for various and many reasons. They see the NYSE shares at highs coming off and investors going into the safer havens such as Gold. I also saw yesterday a report on the Endeavour backers some time ago writing into to Egypt news wanting to further exploit the mines in Egypt (well there is only one big one) to exploit copper as well as Gold. So maybe they have shown their card?
Looking forward to not only a report from Centamin for year end showing increased production but also to reflect the rising Gold prices, Gold currently USD1,512.65 will see our share price rising into the new year, whilst Endeavour continue with a due diligence at the worst possible time for their argument to get us on the cheap - I don't think they will at this rate.

Hochschild have a lot going of them at the moment. They produce from memory 37m ounces of Silver, 500,000 of Gold, plus are also expanding into the rare earths too.
On Bloomberg this morning most who come on are now saying that they see precious metals being the market to be in for more than one reason. We could well go over £2 a share here very quickly - fingers crossed up now over 3% today already.

Also good report on Mining dot com, issues today and Goldman see a riseUSD1600 which will give our price some ooomph!!

Thanks Franky I'll have a look and it looks like you are quite right with the Silver price (my Hoc should do well now too). Gold also up over USD1500 might make Endeavour have to cough up more for CEY too.

Fantastic rise in prices for both Silver and Gold at year end will help HOC raise profits at yr end.

This alone make Centamin a strong buy in my opinion as the price per Goldprice.org has now risen up and over USD1500 oz and as our share price tracks this will help raise our share price again on Friday when we reopen.
The final audited figures for year end will read well with the commodity price now up 18% for the year. This higher the Gold price the more we will become attractive to potential buyers who will see Centamon are not being held back by hedging commitments previously arranged that others sometimes are.

If we do go to Endeavour I have in mind contacting Hargreaves Lansdown who appear to advertise to be able to trade on the Canadian market. They will even supply the relevant forms to enable special tax concessions on divis etc that can be claimed for a Uk tax payer.
Endeavour are up again tonight by another 2.3% in addition to yesterdays steep 6% climb and so our offer could be a lot more to consider than our current share price. I can see as I suspected too that Gold is back up to approx. Usd1500 oz tonight which will help us after Christmas. If we do rise up next week and into next year I am sure those that want to sell will get the opportunity. I will be sticking around as if sterling falls in the new year and if we end up in CAD I see this actually as an even better longer term investment hedging against our own GBP currency. Even though I would prefer us to stay on the FTSE I do not hold the same sentimental attachment as others on here appear to have as my judgement is unaffected by this feeling as I manage my investment portfolio only as a hobby to keep my brain active having retired early from the City. I regret I do not see anyone on here having enough influence to affect the judgement of the major shareholders and indeed the BOD, but may feel better for writing in.

Could be but I can see from the recent releases that most of Centamins largest shareholders are now increasing their shares i.e. Vanguard and even Standard life/Aberdeen enter the largest shareholders list.
If we get a positive statement next week we could be on the rise again.
However the precious metals market has shown some good price increases towards the end of the year so far, and even my Hochschild has started to come back strong too, I'll be watching the Endeavour prices into next week whilst keeping an eye on Anglo and Barrick for signs of interest in us.

My experience is there is a legal duty to report and as with other Companies such as when Barrick bought out Acacia mining this will continue.
However let us hope for those of us who have a current vested interest in the shares the year end reporting is at least as expected and even looking for a bright future to help shareholders get the full worth to which the Chairman expects from Endeavour to consider their second approach. I see that Endeavour have dropped the request that they will only consider a combined due diligence if the Chairman was happy to out to the Centamin board, as he does not consider the original estimated offer anything like full value. I look forward to his report to support his comments. London shares now closed at 12.30pm for today as we look over the pond.

USD17.59 an OZ will help us. Many were worried a few weeks ago when we were at less than 15 an oz. This must out HOC back on the investment map when they produce so many million ounces! Gold up nicely too.

Bidding war will hot up if Endeavour are serious (whatever Centamin say to remain independent).
However let's not take our eyes off the ball we are a Gold Miner here after all and Gold is nearly back up to the Magic Usd1,500 an oz today and I hope we break through. The increased price will help whatever final production figures are, and won't affect the proposed take over from Endeavour. They are more interested in what's in the ground than out. With a life expectancy of what some say is over 30 years there is a lot of Gold stuff in the ground which is what they are really after.

I suppose not surprisingly when the Gold and Silver markets are buoyant at the moment as the precious metals rise up at year end. However I agree with you that both prices should be a lot more in parallel with the market and surely should be up at least anther 10% or more. We still have a few days trading in this year yet so lets hope others also see this as an opportunity in a market off for Christmas and where volumes are traditionally low.

I see the tremendous increase at close for Endeavour will see them certainly be given the encouragement to increase their offer for Centamin as they now have more time to talk to their financial advisers to raise more funds required. They can see that they have market support them to do so, and are now certainly not going to simply pull out with this endorsement. I also still see coming a very defensive and positive year end statement coming from Centamin if the Board wish to keep their own independence, and at these silly low prices feel sure the likes of another miner such as either Anglo or Barrick may come in here with a counter offer.
Commonsense must see this as a tremendous buying opportunity what with the precious metals market rising up towards year end providing an underlying upwards trend in Gold futures.

Looks like the Canadian market are behind the Endeavour bid as they shot up on the news of the extension granting, and what with the Gold price rising now quite fast towards year end I see a great opportunity here to buy some more CEY st these low prices. I am sure we will rise today quite significantly and so I bought another load-lets see-happy Christmas!

If they were not interested they would have pulled out by now. They are desperate for Centamin at a lower price. They are doing everything they can to be difficult and avoid a reverse takeover. What is there within their accounts to like? So our recommendation would not be 47% of the merger it would be over 50%, enough said why they will not open their books, in fact if they are running at a loss, everyday they are worth less. Strong buy for me this is going higher I am sure.

Did I read the new Chairman elect has come to us from Anglo American? perhaps with all the information they might want to join in a bid process?, certainly our new Chairman would have many contacts-perhaps?
Maybe we should have a bet forecast who is going to "Talk Turkey" first, Anglo or Barrick? The great ship Endeavour looks like it has sprung a leak?

Please as I said early this morning the BOD are working behind the scenes. Why would Endeavour be stopping our own due diligence when they owe so much money, perhaps they are afraid of a reverse takeover? This could well happen when the merger percentages are so similar? Perhaps Centamin share should be 51% rather than 47% ? only a thought?
I see our price rising up from here.
