I was also in REM. That and some other **** put me off AIM investments for about 5 years. Held EMH and BCN all the way through though because of the fundamentals. They’ve been tucked away in my sock drawer but time to start digging them out soon when we hopefully get results and some off take news. GLA

Does anyone have anywhere access to a broker note. I’ve seen the old one which targeted 60p plus but I was interested in fag packet calcs where this can get to medium to long term.

We have to remember that SNG now has the funds to start ramping up production of 100,000 treatments per month. COVID will not go away by the time that production starts to ramp up so - assuming positive results from P3, which is swiftly followed by approval - there will be demand from all over the globe for what is being produced including for stockpiling. That will generate many multiple millions of profit per month and using a sensible P/E multiple, a mkt value well north of today. Still excellent potential for multi multi bagging from here.

Parsley - wtf kind of argument is that. “If COVID didn’t exist you’d be worth nothing”. What a load of carp. It does exist. And will probably mutate into different strains reducing the effectiveness of vaccines, and so the demand for therapeutics will always be there. It is a nonsense argument - it’s like saying if cinemas didn’t exist, Cineworld wouldn’t do very well would it. COVID has allowed the great research by Synairgen to be funded/accelerated boosting the share price from where it would otherwise have been...but you’re arguing the case for an alternative reality that no longer exists.

I hope all LTH haven’t been too harmed by today. I’m interested in people’s experience of their brokers today. I thought there would be an overreaction today and so tried to sell part of my holding immediately after vaccine news. The price at the time had dropped to 1.65 or so. It said no trade so I placed an order thinking it would take a few minutes. Half an hour later I got a sell for 1.13. Likewise on the way back up I tried to place an order when the price dropped to 0.85, and 20 mins later I managed to buy back in at 0.98. Before anyone mentions... I was on the phone ready to try and request a trade at the same but left in a queue for ages until my online orders went through. So I feel like I called the market right today but iWeb’s services were rubbish which cost me money.

On the whole I still think it’s been oversold so more room to bounce back in the short term, and is still a great value long term play - but all investors probably need some good news and PR from RM to reassure us.

I also factor in the broker targets...the 990p included a proportion of downside which assumed it didn’t make it to market - so if you are confident it does then the price should be double digits at least. That is my first target for a small sale. Then hold the rest until commercial partner / takeover at which point £4-5bn MCap does not sound crazy, or £20-25. Could higher as the upside broker note suggested.

I personally hope for a T/O once we’ve had (fingers crossed) great P3 results, approval, have ramped up production and have started shipping out treatments - hopefully Q1 next year. For me this would remove a lot of stress about timing the sale of my shares.

And it will change again in early November when the rest of the placing amounts are rubber stamped. Nothing interesting to read into it. The fundamentals of the investment remain sound with lots of news to come before the end of the year IMO.

Yeah I thought it was a great presentation, and liked the focus on Synairgen in the last few minutes - although it was a shame the Q&A was cut out, as I gather that’s when he gave some additional info away.

Good post Trinity - although I’ll point out one typo...you said “The fundamentals of SXX grow stronger by the day”! I too was in SXX and some other ****e shares so feel like I’ve hit a well-deserved jackpot with SNG. I agree with all your points about the strong fundamentals, being in the right share at the right time, and the excellent research from many posters, in particular pmjh.

Well my guess of Finncap’s base case being £10-15 per share was a pretty good one. Surprised it only had 2 recommendations!

Remember it’s actually $300m per month = $3.6bn p.a. = £2.78bn sterling. But that’s revenues. We need to deduct operating expenses (anyone with an idea of margins in the industry?) to get an NOI. And then use a PE multiple. I’ve seen people using 10x but for pharmaceuticals currently the PE ratio is 20x or more. Finally Finncap have a bear case assumption with a probability that it doesn’t make it to market included which is dragging back the price target. I’m guessing they are conservative on the PE ratio too. So my best guess is base case will be £10-£15, and the upside is much bigger - in line with the Numis figure being bandied about.
