Reggie sounds a tad optimistic, but we are seemingly still in with a chance of getting something out of this ' World class resource'. At last we are dealing with facts unlike the last BOD / regime which appears to have talked and conjured up a big game with wholly unrealistic expectations to justify years of exorbitant salaries. Lambert won't win his case for unfair dismissal. We'll know in two weeks about the ' dry coal'. Good time to buy if you've still got the nerve.

Reggie had made a sound judgement as to when the report will be out. Parsons Brinkerhoff are not starting from scratch. They've got all the data they need as they have been working with Altona on this project for a very long time, and Peter Fagiano, sadly now dead, was meticulous in keeping records. I think six weeks is ample time and the fact that Sutherland has bought a few shares gives grounds for cautious optimism.

Sutherland has been a non exec director for a very long time and, up until now, had bought fewer than 1m shares. Not exactly a vote of confidence. He's bought another 500,000, again not a big outlay, but a reasonably positive sign that he has a touch more confidence in Altona's future. Let's see what Parsons Brinkerhoff have to say in their report which should be out by the end of September.

We should have done this five years ago and we'd have a highly profitable mine steaming along. UCG was always going to be a hot potato in the current political and environmental climate. We've already done a lot of work with significant amounts of data already accumulated. We press on. Very cheap SP at this levels; but let's see some directors buying shares to show real commitment.

We haven't got the license. ANR were outbid by another firm, whose name we still don't know, who want to drill for oil and gas. They've won the licence which covers a part of ANR'S area. I'm not quite sure what percentage. My understanding is that we need to strike a deal with the new PEL owners to operate side by side with them. Quite possible. They're going for oil, and we're going for coal in some form or another.

Not much new here, so we're still in a holding pattern, awaiting permission to land with the PEL in the aircraft hold. Shares still very cheap at this level if good news finally forthcoming.

I was always expecting news in March, but certainly no later than March 31st. BwanaMakubwa, you and I have been waiting patiently for a long, long time now. It's when we've run out of hope, we should be worried.

Thank you BwanaMakubwa for introducing some common sense and a call for courtesy on this message board. There's been far too much irrational exuberance and hot air over the last week or so. I believe that by the end of March we shall all know whether we're still in the game or not with the PEL. I remain cautiously optimistic, or should that be quietly confident?
