Funny isn't it. His Majesty's Government, M&G, Artisan Partners, Volvo, Equinor, FSDEA, GKN etc etc have done extensive due diligence into Pensana and back the project. Whereas there is one anonymous hedge fund that posts FUD on here to try to persuade you they know better.

The question is, who do you believe? One organisation that doesn't have the courage of their conviction and comments from the shadows or major institutions/PLCs that are prepared to put their money where their mouths are.

To anyone new on here, the truth is SmartPunter, Theorist and others work for a hedge fund in London that have been short selling Pensana since mid 2021. Their sole objective is to target retail investors to persuade them to sell their shares. Please see the earlier posts in the string entitled 'Short selling hedge fund' for further detail.

Our resident short sellers should publish their research on Pensana so we can compare the two. But they won't because they are not confident of their business case.

Tony - the two entities are indeed linked. They both work for a short seller in the city. The only question is, which one? Boatman Capital or perhaps a less notorious outfit.

One thing these shadowy short sellers have in common is they position themselves as organisations that provide a valuable public service, often attack management and operate anonymously. Sound familiar?

Interestingly the activist short selling community only publish their research on a company if they are 100% convinced of their case. As no company has released such research it tells you they are not sure about Pensana so instead they use this board to air their anonymous views to try to achieve their shorting goals.

Now back to my question - when finance is announced and the SP is rocketing are you going to crawl back under the rock you came from? After all, your MO is to shout and ball and attempt to demonstrate superiority by undermining people on here when the SP goes South, but when news lands you do a disappearing act rather than admit you were wrong. Which incidentally has happened on many, many occasions.
Or perhaps this time round you'll show some stones and admit you were wrong. Unlikely though as narcissists don't admit they are wrong unless it benefits them.

Hogsnipe - My understanding, before China gave a more detailed answer, was that NdPr made up 27% of a permanent magnet. At that level you'd require 1080 tonnes of NdPr to meet GKN's requirements. 25% of Saltend's NdPr output will be 1125 tonnes which closely aligns with their requirement.
The point I was trying to make is that the numbers might suggest you are on to something.

Hogsnipe - How many tonnes of NdPr do you need to make 4,000 tonnes of permanent magnets? And what is 25% of Saltend's NdPr offtake?
