How many if any TW new build housing contracts have maintenance contracts for communal areas ?
On the rest, quality, I have been around TW, George Wimpey contracts for 42 years and always noted the build to be better than most, especially the likes of Persimmon. Currently TW push quality build so much its quite hard for the poor subcontractor who is expected to give 100% spot on work.
Lets talk TW up instead of bashing it.
Yes - all in last report. But this year, this year from January, starting to pick up, 2024 will be better for TW and year after better agin, assuming not extra wars etc !
Only issue currenly is new regulations that have to be done, part L etc.... as regs are normally related to date of planning it not normally a issue, but Partl L is not so it may not have been costed when site started..... dont worry to much though as usual its the poor subbie expected to do more and be paid less . ;)
I Have seen the price go up after ex div day.
So who really knows, its about buy/sell. more buys than sell and prices goes up, so its really how many sell after Ex div day, and we dont know - I still feel should be 150 and better. like to think when the world settles down more investers push this back to £2, next yedar or two. Been there not that long ago
The branch Stockton on Tees, was knocked down last year, but Barclays opened a new branch in Stockton, not far from the original, all new. So I guess close those not making financial sence and those that do, keep open, in this case new.
I agree with closures where required, as do we really need to visit branch that often now.
W13Ken - Just a note, its always a Easter Saturday, before Easter day which is always a Sunday (The date may change but its always Sunday Easter day ) ;) ;) - I always by my Easter from M&S
Disapointing but not unexpected - few selling so price dropped.
However results to 31st Decmber and the general feeling is builds have since started to increase, Interest rates pretty steady, so lets hope + for buyers
And so far looks like Div still good.
Long term holder so that will do me, and if stays lower than the 150+ plus should be oppertunity to buy a few more
Maninpink - Wimpey a few years ago become a bit more focused on not building too much ahead, I can not say your site, but they know what they need to do, targets to hit, sales to make etc so its likly yoursslowed another, could be 50 miles away pushing on.
Its been over £2.. 2-3 timesin last 10 years - But I have as a £1.50+ expectation. But seen ths stock plummet for no apparant reason, then so have many have the last 3-4 years. Dont think will see a special dividend back and not sure want to see that, Im happy if gives me 4-5p twice a year, paying a decent bi-annual div will encourage buys and see the share price go back to where it should be £1.50+ (I hope) -
Someone bought 30,000 shares yesterday and another someone 5,000 today
Im wondering if see some turn around due to Christmas sales, and making inroads to reducing old stock. Old stock sales is money in the bank. (I dont know how much the free Christmas tree cost them, orders over £100, but mine looks great)
Hoping for better news next report

I know reply to a very old post. But everything is not made in China
And so if a lot is, my Iphone is made in China, doesnt seem to effect Apple..
Barclays for myself tend to put cash in my account a day or two after paid to them.
Aspers - Only as im wanting to diversify a little as hold a much a proportion of TW Compared to my other shares, I will be looking at reinvesing 80% of my div to other companies.
Tempted on Barc due to recent drop and belive will go up long term, hold already so may top up 500
BT same reason, though been going up recently I bought yeras ago so on a paper losses there, so may add 500
Also L&General and LLoyds 500 in each
Dont think i'll add to my 400 shares with CCL, but you may consider looking at those.... been around £8 though recently around £10, have been nearer £13 in last year. Huge debts, and talking Billions, but reducing that. No dividend and will not be for another 3 years my guess. Sounds poor, but could be seen as a long term investment. Check the discussion group this site.
The old bank was along with other shops recently knocked down. So quite surprised it opened a new branch here in Stockton just last month -
Assume they felt made good business sence - I liked it as its part of its History, Barclays coming from Backhouse Bank Stockton.
