Finally we start buying millions of shares back and cancelling them

Now them bloody traders now shout how cares about Buy backs

Ok I'd love to see 70p here,. don't get me wrong

But while Lloyd's is Buying Back a lower share price = value for our money

A good or bad dividend is down to the individual circumstances

I saved monthly since I was 20 so has today enabled me to buy and nice holding in a solid FTSE 100 stock that will pay a 4 to 5 % annual yield ( Lloyd's)

I have no need to trade as an annual 2p dividend here is enough for me to live on....

Patience is the name of the game when investing on the stock market direct IMHO

Looking likely this buy back once this current buy back completes will have an average bought back under 50p

Excellent news for long term holders, the more un-loved shares taken off the table the better IMHO

All solid profitable businesses issue bonuses in shares, was there not a law passed a few year's back that a percentage of senior management bonuses need to be paid in shares? So hardly only Lloyds Banking Group policy

BTW I am 54 was laid off at 50 so in between Jobs so to speak.

Anyone under 40 don't appear to invest or want to save these days, I started saving £250 at 20 years old and up it to around £1000 in my mid 40s a month.

Only 4 working days until ex dividend date

Time for Morgan Stanley to step up a gear and save us some dividend money I reckon :-)

We need to reduce the number of shares here.

Buying back your shares is investing in yourself, while the your undervalued by the market if you cannot see value elsewhere to invest in.

Buying back to day is a no brainer.
