If that's the case, over the last few years Banks was not receiving this 2.5% but 0.1% (base rate ) ?

What's all the fuss about then,. if we was not receiving interest rate of 2.5% last year or the years before that ?

Is it just because HMG do not want to start paying because of interest rises in 2022 ?

We have nearly bought back 7% of the Lloyd's shares in circulation

What a result, IMHO for any long term dividend income investors like me
