Terrifying as far as I'm concerned. There have to be serious questions about the health of Biden and there are rumous that Putin had surgery for cancer this month and that he suffers from Parkinsons. Surely we could devise a system that prevented high risk individuals having access to such a wealth of weaponry. But if we can't, and apparently we can't, what hope do we have of prevening conflict and protecting the lives of those who don't seek it.

Looks to me to be a pretty good chance we will now test 23.1, if that is broken (close on any 2h period), price might look for gap closure around 25.8 (2h chart), gap closure 26.25ish (2h chart) and a retest of 27.3 area. I added at 21.5 this morning. These are just areas of interest during a period of strong oil prices, without exogenous (to POO) negative factors or endogenous company specific) problems, they do seem very achievable.

mrc it might also be a way of finding out what Putin's counterparts in the US and Europe know about his hardware, software, strengths/weaknesses and intentions. I imagine he's learning an awful lot about what he believes to be compromised (maybe how to fix that) from an Intel point of view and what remains secure. I'm hoping Biden's apparent openness regarding what the US and it's allies know about Putin's abilities/intentions is also simply smoke and mirrors and that intel and hardware wise he (we?) has (have) 'strength in depth' without having to demonstrate it openly.

US markets dropping quite hard, oil rising and gold rising. I can't find any news suggesting that war between Ukraine and Russia has started in earnest, but something is happening.

Tarmak, my comment was directed at KO. I do hope you didn't feel that it was somehow directed at you. KO's post just seemed to be as incongruous as facts to Boris Johnson or Andrew Windsor. His post insinusated that he was was sticking to a confident and unwaivering plan, when the reality of the matter appears to lie elsewhere, perhaps in deepest, darkest Narnia.

KO, that's comedy gold right there! "I buy the dips" "Not interested in try to trade small volume" etc. You make it sound like it's a calm, rational plan that you're executing, but from what you post on here, you make the day to day reality seem about as calm as a nest of hornets drowning in Redbull. You're day to day posts give the impression that each SP movement catches you completely by surprise, you soil yourself and make a big fuss about not having been decisive enough to sell, then when your emotions settle, you decide it's a buying op and buy some more, then rinse and repeat, thereby banking no profit and accumulating far more than you're comfortable holding. I think you're post below is disingenuous and that you have no plan other than doing your best to explain your position using hindsight.

I agree mrsimmons, on the thought that further falls could precipitate longer term beneficial changes to the board. I'd quite like to come out with a profit sooner rather than later though. Bit selfish I guess, but it's a selfish world.

I increased my holding here at around 41.5 yesterday. Still think it's undervalued and still hoping that it'll re-rate to the upside very soon. The SP dropped below the 50eMA on the daily chart on Aug 16th last year, there was a challenge of the 50eMA from below on Oct 28th which failed and was followed by further falls. I'm choosing to view the price action since the end of November as a bottoming pattern, with price challenging the 50eMA on the daily chart on Jan 10th for the 2nd time. Currently if the price closed above 42.5 (i.e. a successful 3rd test) on the daily chart, then it might be a signal that some upside is coming. I've gone early here and from a TA perspective it's a bold (rash?) move.

I'm hoping the same epiphany, but they'll be constantly on the lookout for new resources so I'd have thought a deal to increase existing resources is not now out of the question in addition to CAPEX to increase and/or begin production from existing assets. I can see clearly why the author of KO's note would be wary of holding over out of hours news. Although I'm accumulating, I'm very aware that there remains a downside risk (for me I work predominantly around TA so am not so clear on fundamentals) at least in the short term. Over the mid/longer term, as long as POO stays high, I don't feel that this is high risk, but with enough 'ifs' you put Paris in a bottle

I added quite a lot today. Bit early, but that's me. Theoretically, from my view of the chart, todays close above 20.85 is bullish and if it closes above 21 (fingers crossed tomorrow) then it looks to very much increase the liklihood we'll see 25 or higher. GLA

Some more perkiness today. Maybe some accumulation going on, as some else suggested, maybe we're seeing a bottom around 38/40. A finish on the day of above 44.25 would seem to confirm a bullish move to the upside with a decision point around 47 (descending tl from Feb 15th 2021/Aug 9th 2021) looks like it's possible we'll see the next touch soon (47 area). Wider markets (US and UK) also suggesting that the 'Santa Rally' may have started. Fingers crossed.

Well it's quite a strong rejection of the 38p area. A close above 44.5 might be a bullish sign.

For the first time in a little while the SP perked up today. I've added a few. If the interests rates are raised, what effect will it have on property values and the rate of property turnover and Foxton's business returns? I'm assuming increasing interest rates will, increase non-fixed mortgage rates and reduce property prices over time. I'm sure this is horribly simplistic, so apologies in advance. Will a change in property values (reduction) change Foxton's revenues?

For the moment, the market isn't behaving as if it's over reacted. Brent 71.8. US30 below 34600, US500 4565. If it doesn't stabilise, monday's open won't be pretty.

I thought policy was not to name new variants after the countries of origin to avoid stigmatising them (the host country, not the variants). Could they not call this one 'The Andromeda strain'? Got a catchy ring to it, nostalgic even.
