Let's hope there are no disapointments, but I suspect it'll be largely what the market expects and that it won't change the SP dynamic in the short term. Obviously as a holder, I'd like to see price increases. Comparing it to TLW, ENQ was a lot quicker to pull in it's CAPEX/OPEX and focus on survival and debt managment. I think TLW was woefully slow in that regard (obviously they're paying for that). I'm still really surprised that ENQ is not moving further ahead, it really looks likely now that we're well and truly on the front foot.

But the next update is FY 2021 isn't it? There should be no surprises, but it won't cover Q1 2022 which is where the FCF should have accelerated. What are people hoping for from ENQ on the 24th of this month? Something more, than what we already know?

We used to keep a candle flickering in the living room to try to keep the frost out, but in view of mrc's efforts, we let our 2 year old son blow it out this evening. Every little helps.

I just had a quick look at US markets (DOW) for 1986 (Chernobyl). US markets were not negatively impacted. I guess the markets were beginning a rampant phase from 85 on with low inflation, low interest rates and lots of M&A activity. What happens this time round with the markets riding high on easy money, interest rates low (but rising), inflation moving to the upside. It'll all stay really interesting as long as the Russian Conflict in Ukraine doesn't expand in scope.

With an hour to go, it's looking like KO has nailed it with a run back up. Maybe not a 'repairer spike' yet though

I can't either, nothing from what I read suggests anything other than a sustained rise in the SP, even if POO drops back. To me it would not make sense for the price to fall back unless a company specific issue was involved. Even short term, if we're selling at these unexpected prices, we're doing much better than we thought we'd be doing a month ago even. Unless POO crashes, it looks like a no brainer. However, the ones I've been sure of have sometimes been the ones that kick me hardest in the teeth so I'm doing my best to view things in a balanced way. As I say, I'll add low and sell what I've added on what might appear to be swing highs, aim would be to exploit KO's AVA theory (sorry if it's not KO's) while waiting for a more substantial rerate.

It looks vulnerable to a drop to 22.5 maybe lower. I don't want to just keep accumulating for the moment, but I'll be buying on anything I think is a 'signal' (you'd have thought POO would be enough of a signal to be honest), but not accumulating. So

on the one hand darian I'm hoping for 40p or maybe more, but somewhere in a dark crevice of my brain, I'm starting have thoughts along the same lines. i.e. 'multi-bagger'. We can only dare to hope that we pay the debt down, retain good resources and output and that the SP gradually moves up. I'm astonished at how slow it is to react here. Like someone earlier I thought we see 30p today. Not looking likely at the moment.

O, I have to say that I'm desperately hoping that those of a diplomatic bent in the US and Nato intelligence agencies are working on a higher level than simply 'let's see what a punch on the nose does'. This will be interesting. Is the deal not to give the MiG's to Ukraine, and replace them with F16's? I've been watching this and wondering a lot. Simply giving the MiG's to Ukraine could provoke Putin to expand on his current 'overt' campaign. But if an F16 were to find itself in Ukrainian airspace, I guess we'll learn an awful lot about how far Putin is prepared to push this campaign.

It's the point I put up for discussion a bit earlier PY, no response though until now. I was wondering the same regarding overall prices. We're seeing some gaudy headlines about big increases, but I was unsure how likely these were. On the other hand, Gold looks set to test an area that could result in large increases (30% to 2900+) in the coming days. I'm exposed to ENQ and gold. Gold price at 2060-2080 is at an important level. To close in excess of 2080 seems to suggest big inceases (weekly figures).

Putin is threatening to cut oil/gas supplies to Europe in response to sanctions. I assume he'd be happier to do that if he felt he could sell enough of it elsewhere to keep his coffers at least part full. If he can sell it elsewhere, I guess that would change the demand dynamic without necessarily increasing the POO too much in a stable sense, although there'd be acute price changes until an equilibrium was re-established. If he can't sell the same amount elsewhere, I assume that POO and gas would increase a fair bit from here and the NS would become increasingly strategically important. The more important it gets the higher price it could fetch, but I'd imagine windfall taxes will cap profits for ENQ and others. What do some of the deep thinkers here see for these type of scenarios?

I thought maybe you had derisked. For sure there was some selling when price got to 26. I watched that and decided to do nothing. Obviously could have done better there.

I have to agree January, SP seems low against a compelling back drop of fundamentals. Probably best to just sit on the shares and wait. I might trade some of my relatively small leveraged positions (it's in my nature to struggle to do nothing), but for my larger share holdings here I'm going to try to just let it run.

it's got nothing to do with me, but I don't think you're right mrc. KO appears to be affected by the SP movements, but not making the most of them via trading. Withou 'looking him in the eyes' over a poker table I can't be sure, but I think he's being straight up. If I was looking him in the eyes over a poker table I'd probably not have a clue to be fair if he was holding or not. I do choose to believe he's not sold a share though.

It's good to hear about peoples histories on the boards so thanks for sharing that. Have to say over the last few days KO called a level spot on. Sadly, I've already forgotten the detail, it flowed through me like a thin broth through a sieve.
