I thought my investment looked bad
well that was weird..!?
yes. the image was taken 21 jun 2018 (google earth), so 1-2 months after the 1st drill campaign, so im guessing they pulled back after the drilling? maybe the drills are still there - its hard to tell from the image, but you can see the pads and the spoil. its a shame we cant see an up to date image as I would like to see how far Newcrest are stepping out..
this is us here... https://zoom.earth/#view=-21.724373,122.655152,18z/layers=labels,crosshairs
not much to see by the looks of it. google earth shows the original 4 drill pads/holes.
I will admit that I used my votes to abstain on a few of the AGM resolutions, not because I have no faith in NM et al, but I'm disappointed in the lack of Comms. I think many did likewise to send a message..
being used to give the share price a kicking.. again!
Can see a lot of negative votes going into the AGM this year. Not that it will have any material effect, but it may send a message. This lack of info and share price decline is anything but satisfactory.
trouble is - the filters seem to keep failing on the my.lse.co.uk dashboards, and the javascript keeps pulling and showing messages from filtered people - have asked LSE to fix this but to no avail.
newcrest have put theirs out too!
well i would rather have SOLG shares than CGP shares right now...
i would hope/expect that the government would amend various bits and bobs to stop these requests coming in after licences etc were granted or prevent retrospective cases. it doesn't help their push to become mining friendly and get investment if these cases can be brought again and again.
reading this, i wonder whether it leaves the door open to bring the case again if they properly follow procedure? it doesn't say they cant..
well happy its all clear now, now i want to see a decent bounce back and some more licences granted. And to top my week off maybe, just maybe Newcrest can deliver some brilliant assays for GGP too.
they only started in session 15 mins ago, and you know what legal types are like... they like to talk and listen to themselves. We will be very lucky if the result is known before close of play, which means chaos tomorrow morning whichever way the court leans.
I believe he has a financial covenant for a certain amount of A$ to the various causes, so the number of shares varies a bit from year to year.
no it doesn't worry - it has been a regular occurrence from Nick to his chosen charities over many years.
lots of tweets from mining government bloke on #MineríaConResponsabilidad on twitter about the CC and Cascabel as possibly the 6th largest copper mine in the world. Some radio interview or something..
more from a related article:
The Constitutional Court should debate on the proposed sectional consultation on mining exploitation in the territories of the communities settled in the parishes of Lita, Carolina, Jijón and Caamaño and Goaltal. The deliberation and decision focuses on whether the development of mining in a particular area may or may not be the object of popular consultation.
Rafael Oyarte, constitutional lawyer, through a statement indicates that "the common good is the responsibility of the State, so one of its duties is to plan and promote sustainable development, the equitable redistribution of resources and guarantee the right to work, entrepreneurship, exercise of a lawful activity, education, health, among others. The request for consultation at the local level is harmful and violates this right. "
While the responsible mining initiative, proposes that the national discussion should revolve around whether legal mining or illegal activity is developing in Ecuador. The first guarantees control and compliance with the regulatory framework that governs it; the second opens the door to insecurity and related crimes with serious consequences, especially with the environment.
