about £40-£50 over spot, not normally this bad, but the CV panic has upped the premiums.
then again, i was buying gold when everyone hated it and have done for over 15 years, so paid low and paid high and the buy side premium doesnt really faze me too much.
go for 1oz coins - particularly britannias - no VAT no CGT - little bars have high premiums and not the best to move on.
Sovereigns too are good - again no VAT no CGT
ATS bullion or Sharps Pixley will see you ok ... I use ATS, its nice to visit them at Savoy Place if you able to get into London.
Coutts is fairly reliable.. :-)
look on google earth - the pit itself is about 2km by 1km - certaintly not 16km sq.

I believe GH said at the AGM that he considers the best sort of business is the business where everyone leaves the party with a balloon ( he was referring to NC not putting in a lowball offer and protecting their reputation ), and I think he is genuine in trying to make sure we all get our balloon at the end.. (i want jelly and icecream too tho).
my shares are in an ISA nominee account but I always get asked to vote ..
TSX has always proved to be very illiquid for SOLG - not, i think, what Nick was hoping for..

Ah, ok Tobler, no worries. That being the case it's money in the bin for drilling if exercised
Issuing the warrants would require an rns, the exercise of said warrants is usually a retrospective rns.
Another pme. Gotta love it
Given the news and pmes and the way the price seems to be bouncing, I think someone is collecting...
amazon couldn't fill their large order for shovels any sooner. :-)
Rio to start mining Winu in 2023. seems no-one is hanging about.
almost hit my limit buy .. in fact it was in the market range to execute but the broker decided no.
just watched the video posted somewhere down below. (good find). CGP seem almost pained to have to mention SOLG throughout the video. Get the impression regards selling that its to anyone but SOLG.. They do seem keen to offload Alpala however at a suitable price to a "friendly bid" as they put it . I think the obvious sale of CGP or Alpala is to Newcrest, as CGP have JV with them in Ecuador already. It would certainly keep things tidy and I cannot see that NM would object (too much) to that. It may also explain why BHP provided funds - they wouldn't want to lose too much ground (sic) to Newcrest with such a large resource.
Question is - will Newcrest pull the trigger? Its certainly on Mr Biswas mind as seen from recent articles, but they are also running full steam with Greatstone in WA on Havieron - would both be too big a commitment?
answers on a postcard ..
yeah - fine by me too - could do with a little less volatility for a while. roll on March.
