Possibly the valuation mentioned today at 2.3p, compared to 2.7p previously is due to the fluctuating commodity prices?

Also would I be correct in saying there are more shares in existence now, which would effect things?

Webfox, it's the £500m support being handed out to TATA that infuriates me, they are a highly capitalised multi national in any case, what chance the likes of AMTE if they're competing with that? AMTE would only need a small fraction of that £1/2 billion to succeed
Yes Gordon, if Michelin could distribute their tyres from the site for decades, then AMTE should have no problems with distribution either
PRK1, it is my understanding of the proposed Dundee megafactory that it is to be located on the site of a former Michelin tyre factory.
I live relatively locally and was informed that the site is being split up to accommodate a number of businesses - to be honest I don't have absolute 100% knowledge, but I doubt aspects such as power supply will prove prohibitive to AMTEs plans and things hopefully will progress as planned since the infrastructure you mentioned already exists.
Dundee is viewed as a relatively 'deprived' city and I would have thought that the Scot Govt would be more than happy to provide support as the Highland and Islands Enterprise did for Thurso...
Things are however 'fluid' currently and the new guys may well have their own plans, time will tell
Stu
Erebus55, I have seen similar small buys in other shares - I think it could be an Investment Trust taking up a position...the Trust manager sells another share on behalf of their customers and buys AMTE, the small numbers of shares purchased representing each customers number of shares in the Trust (the Trust being made up of a number of holdings)
That's my theory anyway, happy to be corrected
Stu
Leew, such as AMTE I had a small nibble last week because they have great IP for state of the art batteries (lithium ion and sodium ion) - factory in Thurso, with plans for Dundee (yes I'm a 'jock' lol) SP at all time low, priced to go bust and now Saudis have waded in, it shot up 141% yesterday - shows us what is possible for COPL
Apologies for the cross ramp

FF, if only there was a beaten down stock that we could all invest in?
You know, the kind that the company has been mis-managed, but has huge potential if run properly....the kind that's in the best location possible, with huge reserves to plunder, with much bigger companies looking on enviously to the extent that they want a piece of the action...
The kind of company that finds itself now on a firmer financial footing than previously imagined
Might be worth keeping my COPL holding after all
I'm not bothered about the share price today or in a month incidentally, I'm giving this time to mature
Stu
It would be ridiculous if AMTE were to perish for being short of a relatively small sum of money - peanuts to what is about to be handed out to TATA...

Let's hope AMTE survive

Hi speel 'BH selling up now because they can..' - but why, by offloading shares continually, would they be limiting the price they are likely to receive themselves in the short term? Makes little sense to me.
Would the COPL not have been wiser to raise capital by issuing more shares around the beginning of this year? There's an obvious spike in SP, and they could easily have reasoned that monies were needed for development purposes, to boost production etc etc - I'm sure this would have caused less dilution than we are currently facing, and at a SP of around 15p then, raked in a decent amount
Stu
Call me naive, but why would they not allow the SP to rise THEN sell?
The share price could conceivably be double/triple this level without seeming overpriced, surely?
I realise it concerns the number of shares, but selling a lesser number at a higher price produces the same effect??
I'm about to be called naive, am I not lol
Stu
Yes, upping production would not only be good for the balance sheet but also lend much needed credibility to COPL and bolster SP...
Did anyone see this? Prediction for oil price in excess of $200...
