What a dreadful piece of 'journalism' by this Alistair Osbourne - Woods' possibly temporary troubles are in large part due to the changing attitudes to North Sea exploration and the effect it has had on Woods' business, so they have, at least partly, refocused on Renewables as a matter of necessity.

This Times writer preferred to write it up as some slanted matter of slapstick - there are people's jobs at stake here and should we really sell off the UK so easily in any case, with another world respected business available on the cheap?

Maybe had he been worth his salt, he might have asked as much...

It saddens me that so many people have posted here, that we shareholders should accept such a paltry sum, in the pence per share, for the sake of an incredibly quick buck, to sacrifice such a highly respected enterprise - the share price seems somehow to have been manipulated to this level, look at the movement over the past year - its like a set of stairs, not a natural decline, in my humble opinion. I realise that this posting might seem out of the ordinary, but please indulge me, I hold a relatively modest amount of WG. shares and am considering adding, so I was looking at alternatives specifically The Trade Desk (TTD) and ITM Power (ITM) because both share prices have dipped lately,,,

I added DGI on the final day of trading, 1m at 0.0162p because I can't help but think that the company will reappear on a stock exchange across the Atlantic some time soonish - which would mean dilution admittedly, but acceptable at such a low price

I would not recommend this 'feel it in my water' investment strategy, but would you agree that re-listing would be a good way to raise funding?

Agreed Berlioz, its very much as if SVML is completely under the radar for most - daily share rises and falls are usually modest so not attracting the more 'dramatic' traders evident on other companies chat boards

Personally I content myself that I am ahead of the herd in owning Sovereign shares, as production commences and revenue is earned the share price will surely multiply - or conversely the company may be bought over, again at a premium - either way win/win

I'm viewing this period of share price 'stagnation' as a buying opportunity, others may currently be a bit fearful of the capex required, but I'm thinking the share price is currently cheap imho

I'm not familiar with the terminology used in the News release by Evraz - in essence, does this mean that the Russian authorities are nationalising the company, or at least something akin to it?

It seems you feel there is little chance Sovereign Metals will retain an ownership interest in Kasiya in the medium to long term, money talks I suppose, and the whole thing will become much clearer this year for certain

ICB888 (or anyone?) can you foresee a possibility where Sovereign avoids a buyout and Rio Tinto becomes operator, with the offtake percentages reflecting Rio's involvement? It could easily be argued that £1.50 per share would be cheap

I'm mindful of the unique nature of Kasiya and the exceptional circumstance whereby the West is very keen to hold on to such an excellent asset. given China's possible stance in isolation, Kasiya becomes yet more valuable, surely?

Hey cherryburn, there is so much going for Sovereign, the ease of mining, the dual production outcomes (rutile and graphite) along with the sheer volumes involved and timing as other global sources are exhausted point to an amazing potential, short and long term - I also see Rio's involvement as a real plus

As you correctly point out it, is great that Sovereign are acting very ethically in all things

For whatever reason my latest SVML addition was listed as a 'Sell'...

Personally I'm more focusing on Woods optimism about their Q4 24 and FY 2025 projections rather than demotion from FTSE 250 - I have been thinking of topping up anyway, so if there is a significant SP drop, I would see it as an opportunity, to be honest - I feel that we will look back in a years time and wonder why the SP was ever at this lowly level

Admittedly I thought the SP would have recovered to a greater extent from the 60% drop it experienced in a single day earlier this month, but I'm telling myself patience will be rewarded here and I'm sure it will

It can be argued that shorters have a purpose, but if their activities are undermining investor confidence in a respected UK company with global reach, should the authorities not realise the damage being caused to individual enterprises and the Stock Exchange as a whole? Perhaps it is becoming the norm to trash UK share prices, in order that takeovers may be done on the cheap, so to speak??

As for the Accounting review, I saw the company's openness in the Q3 Trading Update as a sign that it is not a big deal - surely they would have been a bit more circumspect if they thought any possible errors had been major?

@norm, I agree with your assessment - MED seem to have had little choice but to go along with RiverFort, all things considered - handing RiverFort much of the 'power' (no pun intended) over the company - they will however drive the company forward, seeking the distributions previously mentioned

It could certainly be argued that NED are in a better position than they have been in some time imho, greater certainty exists regarding a way forward

On balance it really seems that RiverFort are a positive force for MAST or MED as they refer to themselves - this apparently 'low' Share Price imho is possibly due to being let down on the Joint Venture pre RiverFort, and also a bit of uncertainty on how the RiverFort relationship will pan out (possible dilution?), like you say positive news should follow, especially with a funding partner confirmed to complete immediate plans.

Personally feel I have timed it quite well, given the current SP, regardless

I added MAST yesterday, and plan to hold for the long term, it seems like a very good investment at this price level - the Market Cap is below £700k, for goodness sake! Pyebridge revenue will eclipse that figure alone

I have been reading RNSs and the one from 28th Feb 2024 seems particularly important (attached)

Perhaps LTHs can shed some light?

Are RiverFort involved in Pyebridge alone, or will they be involved as the remainder of the projects unfold?

It seems that RiverFort will be in receipt of Preference Shares at some point, and entitled to 50% of any distributions - this may be a double edged sword, they will push for dividends and we should all benefit?

Do we regard RiverFort as better than Kibo?

Will RiverFort offload shares in January, adversely effecting the share price?

I didn't intend asking so much about RiverFort, I really see MAST as being a great investment and I intend to add more shares in due course, but Riverfort are a big factor in the MAST story currently, so I am curious about their involvement
