HBR said EIG only transferred shares so let's not speculate more. As it is now clear why SP went low and with that RNS SP moved up from the terrible lows. Oil still at $100+, hopefully buybacks take us back to 375 first and then to 400p.

But the whole transfer of shares stinks. Why the hell Linda crook or the nomad did not bother to RNS when the EIG stake dropped from 37% to 16%? They are just covering up now saying that the shares are still owned by EIG so RNS for reduced stake was not announced. How can they not RNS about the transfer agreement?

A share registered on one's name simply can't be transferred unless it is sold? So EIG have sold it causing the drop in SP but those sold shares are owned by the new third party entity, which could still be part of EIG and that is why they say it is transferred and at the same time, they are saying the stake reduced from 37% to 16%. Only thing is that if a third party bought it then why would SP collapse? I hope the $200M buyback program is actually not for buying EIG sold 21% stake!

Euroclear still shows 9% stock on loan for HBR, majority of those could be EIG shares? Shortracker website doesn't show any short positions on HBR!

It is a big relief that EIG reduced the stake from 37% to 16% and sold their shares to new investors. Obviously those investors that bought the stock from EIG would look to see their shares gain value! They won't sell it in open market as that would be a huge loss for them! They may sell it back to EIG if needed in which case EIG will start buying back again their sold 21% stake! Along with HBR own buyback program, we should see price to starting heading back to 400 soon!

wow nearly 7% rise! It is very obvious shorts have closed some positions. It was kept low at 303 until 2pm and took off from then. I should have topped up in the morning but didn't :-(
I think news about EPL spooked the shorts.

Tomorrow could be another blue day but you never know the games played by the funds shorting this.

Fundamentals are being ignored and became irrelevant for the bloody algo trades. Just check moving averages and kill the share price.

If BOD or IR can update the markets regularly about the business then that can put an end to the antics from algos and shorts.

If I top up now at £3 my avg would come down to £3.65
But worried if this will be pulled down even further. It is priced at 300p as if oil is already at $65 even though HBR was valued at 400p at the time of merger when oil was at $60!!!

Even with Brent in 90s, HBR can almost clear their debt and continue with their current production without any new investment? With $2bn cash positive cash flow, they can make new investments to offset WT and still pay dividends?

At the time of merger with oil at $60 and no dividends, market valued HBR at 400p.
Now with debt coming down, dividends and brent still near $100, SP should be atleast 400p?

Also CINE mentioned about US listing as one of the alternative financing option?
They can put their US estate - Regal for sale to pay off the debt.
With cinema getting back to pre-covid levels, Regal can fetch $2bn atleast?

everything is being sold off like in the pandemic times and the prices are going lower than pandemic times.
It is more of a fear than the fundamentals.
Mooky should have done a rights issue when the SP was near £1 at the beginning of 2021.
But with improving outlook he must of thought that it is not necessary as the revenue goes back to 2019 levels.

It does appear like it will reach 2019 levels by this year end. It can make this revenue for next several years easily and lenders can see that so I don't think lenders will ask for immediate payments. Each time there is a good movie, box office is generating over a billion dollar revenue! Clearly business model works and even streaming proved to be not a big competitor. Each has its own place!

Mooky is the best to run this business than anyone else. Except that he needs to back down with his ambitions of becoming the largest cinema chain for now. Not atleast until debt comes down.

Look at the Q3 2019 report, total passengers number from Apr, May and Jun came to 26.5 Million.
In today's RNS, EZJ said it is flying 250k passengers per day. So for 3 months, the number totals to 22.5 Million! Not too far from Q3 2019 number! Share price in 2019 was over £10! Even with inflation and high oil price, you can discount 50% of 2019 price so we should be atleast 500p?

There are no liquidity problems and like mentioned in the RNS, they are still operating 1700 flights per day compared to 0 flights in the pandemic when the SP was 485p!

I just looked at May update and did not see mention of cash generated or debt reduced.
My concern is that they hedged 8.6MMbls at a ceiling of $78 and another 4.7MMbls at a ceiling of $78 so that is a total of 13.3MMbls hedged at max $78 oil. The group net production is between 44k - 52kbpoed so if we assume avg of 48kbpoed then total production comes to 17.5MMbls. Of this 13.3MMbls hedged at $78 so it is another 4MMbls being sold at spot prices?

Wish we were selling 10MMbls at spot prices, which would have encouraged Barclays to up their target price for ENQ SP.
But market knows the above information in May and we hit 37p. So even if oil price is down to $110, we should be atleast 30p-35p.

I'm hoping that core inflation excluding energy doesn't shoot up. Even oil prices are down from recent highs. There is no need to raise interest rates if the inflation has peaked and if it is downwards. Yes, to protect pound rates have to be increased. But pound was much weaker against dollar in 2016 when we had referendum but rates were not high. All in a mess. Putin ending war is all that is needed to bring the situation under control.

Like in 1970 when it had worst first half of the year with 21% loss and all recovered with a gain of 26% by the end of that year! So CNBC says something similar could happen this time too.

For the rise to happen in second half, we need core inflation to start plateauing in second half. If it comes down few percentages then even better as we will definitely see good rise in stock markets in second half.

May be another painful July and August or may be not. Core inflation for May is 0.2% less than April. If we start to see it decreasing each month then stocks will rise. With FED ready for another big hike in July, inflation will start to come down or atleast will plateau.

I travelled in the weekend on EasyJ from Paris to London.
Bloody French airport closed the counters for immigration and kept only 3 open out of 12 or so counters! There were massive queues and some of us thought that we will miss the flight. After a lot of complains by the passengers waiting in the queue French airport staff started to prioritize the immigration based on the flight departure timings. EasyJ flight delayed by 45 mins but not cancelled. The flight was full. Even the flight to Paris was full. I have not seen any cancelled flights for any airline.
Airport authorities are to be blamed for the chaos. I asked one of the staff if French airport staff are on strike. She said there was no strike. They have few counters because that is how they like to work she said in sarcasm. She was not happy either for fewer staff.
I thought at Heathrow as well there would be big queues but no. It was smooth and quick.

I'm not worried much with the share price. It will recover. We are now at pandemic lows! Soon we will see 600p.
