I agree with most of what you have put apart from the Usk BESS bit.

Well.. no... nothing happened this year. We have still only 3 out of 4 turbines in the water (major red flag). BESS.. is just literally nothing. That's a few millions for SAE that already evaporated along the way. I don't get why people don't get that BESS is just a desparate act to keep the lights on. They have no idea what else to do with their coal plant now so they rent it up..

The 1st phase of BESS after Usk conversion was shelved was to get an initial energy outlet.

I am not fully loaded with the facts about what the battery park entire capacity is but I assumed that it would be potentially another 3 or 4 similar type units feeding directly into the grid.

So that actually may give SAE what they need. Plus they own the whole site and land so it can actually be a support for Meygen if successful in CFD5 given they have offloaded ATES.

I think it's just another wait and see.

My gripe is with the BOD and the seismic inability to actually get anything off the ground with the biggest earner which would have been subcoal.

Given all the drivel he spouted at COP I would have thought that they actually had something in the pipeline with regards to a project or initiative.

Saw this recent tweet from Orbital, welcoming news on the AR5 structure. This seemed like the common-sense view anyway, but adding here to reassure anyone who doesn't run a tidal energy company but worried that AR5 was bad news not good news.

I think the SP in the coming months is initially dependant upon Jan Comms as per RNS and then the Feb for safety day.

How good it is / is not?

We. Imo are on the cusp of something that I think is very significant for many reasons.
