Gold miners that are in a position to extract and sell their gold are going to be sort after by the share-buying public.

Gold price now $1882 oz

Displayed spread buy at 2.3, sell at 1.9 is spread of 17%.

If you place a limit order and wait for a day or two you may find that trades can go through inside the displayed bid - offer price range. Or you may get left behind by the flow of the trend.

Current actual spread buy at 2.3, sell at 2.0 gives spread of 12%.

That is still clearly enough to fend off the day-traders.

But what about the investors?
Had they been put off by the spread from buying at:
0.5p (Nov)
1.0p (Apr)
1.5p (May)
1.75p (June)
Then they would not be sitting on a potential profit today.

If you have DYOR and think that the value of a gold miner like ALTN will be higher in the months to come, then you have to maybe make the same decision that investors made in the previous months.

Yesterday's RNS was a comfort to those invested in Altyn, that the Kaz Government is functioning (despite Covid) in promptly renewing the mining licence and approving the mine development plan.

You are incorrect, planning matters are not "MP determined".
The Planning Committee consists of local Councillors who are not MPs, they are an entirely different type of creature.

MP's may express their opinion, but (in the eyes of the planning committee) they only have the same importance as any other member of the public.

The number of people contributing comments to a planning consultation is irrelevant.

If 100 people make the same comment, that comment is only counted once.

The distilled list of comments is then reviewed to consider whether they are relevant to purview of the planning application.

It is better to make a good relevant comment once, rather than have hundreds of people cluttering things up with their drivel, wasting the time of the council workers.

There is a glitch with the database for total documents submitted. I can see 105 documents there that should not be included as they are duplicates.
One person has submitted their objection five times.
Two people have submitted their objection three times.
Some of the people have not included any address, which should make them invalid.
But all of that gaming the system is a waste of time if they are just repeating what has already been said.

The gold price is testing $1,800 which helps with the operating profit for gold miners like Altyn.

They will soon have the production figures for the quarter to 30-06-2020, so maybe a RNS soon.

Demand for bitumen (a byproduct of crude oil distillation) will increase.

It would be nice to know what the exercise price of those options is, as that might result in additional cash for Altyn.

BGS use UTC not BST.

So if someone jumped up and down at 09:37 BST it would appear on BGS's chart as a spike at 08:37 UTC.

It is not impossible that some sound from down the wellbore could be noticed by the BGS detector.

Though I think Ibug is probably correct that the BGS chart is much more likely showing vehicle/generator/compressor noise or someone on a sit-on mower clearing the thistles.

CANACCORD are the person, shareholder or vote holder. Their country of residence is irrelevant.
UKOG are the issuer of shares. They are UK registered. = UK issuer.

Therefore by default the 3% lower threshold applies to all shareholders, including shareholders that reside outside the UK like CANACCORD.

However there are exceptions, such as market makers 10%, and investment firms 5%, and others who are not themselves 'interested share owners' but are providing a service to many clients or to the market.
The exception is not based on the country of residence of the shareholder.

CANACCORD might qualify for one of the exceptions, in which case scallywag3 would be correct in saying that the 5% threshold applies to CANACCORD.

it can be seen that a stage of firm recovery in the shareprice of ANGS started on 20-04-2020.

That was when they announced an end to their Riverfort facility, meaning that there would not be the drip drip of further discounted debt conversions into shares.

It was a signal to close short positions and for potential long position investors who had been delaying their purchase to buy.

Today UKOG have similarly announced an end to their Riverfort facility.

So over the next few days a brief dip to about 0.205 pence per share, then a sustained stage of firm recovery in the UKOG shareprice should similarly follow.

The proposed branch line to be restored runs though Godshill and skirts around Arreton. I'm sure the locals would welcome a couple of new low cost railway sidings where the oil wagons could get filled with oil. And any cyclists or pedestrians currently using the track route won't mind sharing it with the odd passenger or freight train.

Just in case there is too much oil found for road tankers.

The KZT devalued against the USD in the last few months.
