Before Consuela or broomtree point it out I noted that the last mandatory requirement requires the bidders to have built one turnkey vessel within the last five years. This is the only requirement that gives me a concern as it is a pass/fail question.

LSE03 ref 21.51 thanks for this. How many shipbuilders bid is dependent on the size of the ferries which is not explicitly stated in the article. I am going through the tender documents which you can find here https://bcbid.gov.bc.ca/page.aspx/en/bpm/process_manage_extranet/189676 and this information might be in them. The size of the ferries will be a imiting factor on who can bid. With its large drydock combined with the Artemis technology would mean that a consortium bid with Artemis Technology might be feasible.

As I said in my 10.20 post the opening sentence if true would likely amount to contempt of court . The only issue is that the actual reasoning from the judgement was not stated. Also the suggestion that any loan would be subject to the sale of Im does not make sense. IM would be part of the security for the loan so why insist on selling it.

Twib ref 10.14 post can you please provide the basis for what you say. If and I do say If your opening sentence would amount to contempt of court for disclosing the terms of a judgement before it is handed down. The rest of your post reads like speculative ramping untethered to relality.

I see the annual changing of the guard where one Stena Superfast comes in to BDD followed by the other is currently underway. Superfast VII is currently in Dock until the 26 February and three hour after it leaves BDD Superfast VIII shifts to BDD until 1 March 2024

I was looking at the current position of both Valonia and Terramare. They both seemed to be moored at Penzance. Does anyone know if Penzance is their home port as they seem to spend a lot of time in port there in particular the Valonia which appears to spend over two weeks at a time there. I ask as I am trying to work out if the amount of time in Penzance is dead time or time that is being charged to a client.

Si_Derman ref 13.54 post in fact this argument shows why links should be provided when referencing documents. As the original post did not contain a link to the filings combined with me being on Jury Service which prevented me responding quickly as normal meant that it took two days to the bottom of the charges. I am not sure that we have got to the bottom. The only issue I had was that the original post implied that HARL had taken out a charge in December. On a strict interpretation of company law that was not the case. Something that we ahve now clarified. As to what the charge relates while not certain as I have not read the actual charge I suspect that it was relating to banking facilities as the charge was in favour of HARL's bankers I believe.

Broomtree ref 15.31 post as a matter of company law you are wrong each company is a separate legal entity. The only shareholder of Harland and Wolff (Belfast) Limited is Harland and Wolff (Holdings) Limited. You do not as a matter of law hold any shares in any of the subsidiary companies. These subsidiaries are not traded on and cannot legally be traded on a recognised exchange.

Broomtree ref 11.51 post wrong company in the sense that you are not following the company that you have shares in but a subsidiary of a subsidiary of the company you have shares in.

Si_Derman ref 12.13 post I am not ignoring the fact that the work is done by the business units which are all separate companies. It is just that I do not have the time to follow all the half a dozen or so subsidiary companies. It makes more sense to me to follow the ultimate holding company only

Harland and Wolff (Belfast) Limitedthe company you are following is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harland and Wolff (Holdings) Limited which is in turn a wholly owned subsidiary of Harland and Wolff Group Holdings PLC which is the company we all hold shares in. It is this company whose company registration number is 06409712 that is the one that we should be following. As an aside I think the £10m charge relates to the Harland and Wolff (Belfast) Limited bank overdraft.
