Earlier this week, we welcomed Alex Rowley MSP to our site in Methil. Rowley is the Scottish Labour Party’s Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity.

During his visit he received a briefing on Harland & Wolff and shared details of Labour’s proposed Green Prosperity Plan and National Wealth Fund.

Additionally, Mr Rowley was able to see first-hand the investment that has been made in the Methil workforce and met the growing class of apprentices as a part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

The MSP for Mid-Scotland & Fife congratulated first-year apprentice Lorna Downie, who has recently been awarded the Foundation Apprenticeship Advancement Scholarship by the Adam Smith Foundation and Fife College.

LSE03 ref 12.01 post I note that it says 'Albert Allan, managing director at Arnish, told the Gazette that while some of the Falklands steel work might come to Lewis, the yard’s current projections do not require it.' that could mean that further contracts under the master serices agreement are expected soon. Alternatively that another sizable contract is expected soon or both.

Garonne ref 09.46 post this is normal for this share. That is why the long term holders did not buy into hype on Tuesday about how the share was going to reachn a particular share price.

LSE03 ref 12.33 post I think that HARL will be bidding for the small vessel contracts when they come out that is assuming that the Scottish Government does not do a direct award.

Unless the equity raise is going to be at a premium then to raise any meaningful amount you would have to virtually triple the current issued shares. Whatever you may think of JW he would not want to further dilute his own shareholding to that extent.

This raises a question over the EUR300m new vessel for Republic of Ireland will the UK either on its own or with a European partner be allowed to bid for it. From this article it would seem that Dublin would lose incentives if it did give it to the UK.

Interesting contract to have won. This first order is not large on its own but maybe the next one will be larger. Should also be a good test for the new link road to the Deepwater Terminal.

Leggy11 ref 16.52 post about this time last year HARL was awarded a £600m - £700m manufacture sub contract for the Fleet Solid Support. The share price did not even go up by 50% so what makes you think a £120m contrat would cause a 300% jump in the share price?

Go_ly_dow ref 16.14 post Sorry topour cold water on things but I disagree with your projections going by previous experience I would not expect more than another 2p on the share price without any more news. So if you are right it would be a pleasant surprise.

Just seen this and it is worth a watch the highlights for me are

Market Intelligence

- Analysts at Cavendish leave their forecasts UNCH

- But note, HARL would have an estimated c£170m of contracted revenue in FY24E

- Further improving their visibility over the £200m in their FY24E forecast

- Share price is up 11% on the news

Hopefully we will see a further uptick on the SP after this.
