it does not explain the muted response to the RNS today no. Taking SOLO's share of HHDL gives UKOG a controlling share and is a very sleek move IMO. Solo have Ruvuma funding to worry about so they have moved to a more liquefiable asset without losing the benefit of good results at HH. A good move for both but I think time will tell us that its better for UKOG.

why what

Today shows that UKOG are a true oil exploration company (soon to be production) and not just an investment company/ public pension scheme for the directors. I don't pretend they are not interested in getting rich but they have also demonstrated a real commitment to onshore oil exploration and delivering producing wells. I don't think for a moment that they have acquired a controlling share of HHDL just to mislead investors. HH is big and they know it. Just a shame UKOG do not control the market!

Seems like a fair assessment Starbright. With an MCAP of 125M some level of success was anticipated. I did think a change in sentiment could have taken this into the 3s today if i'm honest but never expected a major rerate was coming. However you are quite right regarding Kimmeridge. if the numbers are anywhere near those seen in 2016 we will see a big rerate IMO. Kimmeridge accounted for 1,365 bopd back then!! I understand some people's disappointment today but don't take your eyes off the prize! We could get initial figures very soon!

Portland testing finished over a week ago. Site has been preparing kimmeridge all week. A large portion of that required as per RNS will already be done.

That with an MCAP of 130 million some sucesss was anticipated. I’ll admit I thought sentiment could carry this over 3p and as we anticipate kimmeridge I can still see that being the case especially when the tankers start rolling. For investors this result is fantastic news. For traders maybe it hasn’t made them as much as they wanted but HH was always about kimmereidge. Having Portland to fall back on derisks your investment to a large degree. Look back on the kimmeridge numbers from the flow tests. You’d have to be mad to sell out at this stage. Kimmerridge testing is already over a week in!!!

Will always happen. However they’re already on with kimmeridge first sniff of an oil tanker which is pretty much a nailed on cert and this will break loose. Possibly this week. Now it’s commercial proper investors will be interested

didn't expect the RNS to just drop there!... portland commercial and with a sidetrack over 700 bpd. With Kimmeridge HH is massive!!! MASSIVE!!

Still waiting on this to complete. I assume we will get a TR1 regarding Solos holding in UKOG when it does.
