The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
In 2018 the Zimbabwe mining minister Winstin Chitando wanted two diamond miners to return tho the country, one being De Beers and the other being Vast Resources.
De Beers said no and Vast gave a no comment.
I believe Winston Chitando is still in charge of mining which may explain why AP feels confident about the court hearing.
All have to abide by the law and contempt of court can lead to 5 years imprisonment in Zimbabwe. It has been mined and this is where the compensation comes in. How much has Vast lost since it was stolen from them.
Under Mugabe when the fields and diamonds were stolen from Vast a Judge in Zimbabwe had the guts to say we were due compensation.
Mugabe and his thugs killed hundreds and took over those fields.
Now Mugabe and his cronies are out of the picture we have every right to those diamonds. The Zimbabwe court system seems fair (no more than ours in the UK) and we will win this case uncontested.
Add Diamonds to BP, Tajikistan and the rest of the portfolio and this SP will keep rising with no more debt or placings.
Rough diamonds are about US$90 per carat (2021 prices)
Nice try.
Hasiba don't get worked up about certain posters, there is a website that shows the rankings of all rampers and derampers on these sites...guess who comes top for deramping, it's Fantasy, asimpleinvestor and sandyshore. I came in at about 250 as a ramper.
As the website says trust nobody, they are professional and will throw lots of numbers at less experienced investors, which will be mostly bad (sound familiar)...3 spikes this month so they will be doing very nicely
asimpleinvestor is a prime example, says he's in business for himself but has the time to type (as he's says when he's usually sat on the toilet!) about 2400 post in about ten months, he's on about half a dozen BB, and yes he's an expert in every single one. Disagree and he's like a spoilt kid, even threatening one poster with a solicitor.
DYOR and you will be fine. Ignore the derampers, they are here for their own benefit
It's an AIM miner, cost? It's their business, if they give out figures they then get undercut, they wont get as much when they sell to dealers, also affects the tax they pay, do Glencore give us the ins and out of their business, or outside of miners how much do a pair of Nike sneakers cost to make by someone in Vietnam or China that someone else is prepared to pay hundreds of pounds for in JD Sports, does anyone know the ingredients to Coca cola and what the cost of each can. You will never know as they will never release the figures.
You tell us you're a businessman so do you declare what your cost are so you can be undercut by competitors, you must also be HMRC best customer if you're that honest
As for working out the cost, no I haven't worked anything out, wouldn't know where to start, I also don't work things out when I bet on a football match, horse race or buy a lottery ticket because its all a gamble, if I want a certainty In life I will invest in Greggs, Sainsbury's or Tesco
Amount of diamonds held in safe? one publication said 298,000 diamonds and today reports saying there are 129,400
If Vast wins the case of ownership of its stolenassets, for the second time, their legal side has been paid and until that package is in their possession, diamonds cleaned, accessed, no one will know the diamonds true value, we are all guessing, even at $90 per carat, Indians and Chinese dealers still want them...illegally sourced or not.
The fields were stolen from ACR, Mugabe forces killed between 200-400 independent miners, then handed the fields to Mugabe cronies, so I doubt the value of the diamonds from that field will be on the low side, they were worth killing for, some say billions of dollars worth..now mostly mined out, stolen and sold
Compensation...now Mugabe is gone who knows, will the courts be fair and see what ACR has lost due to theft and a stolen asset, again we are all guessing
If we win the case then we can excited about the diamonds until then I'm still focused on rising commodity prices, BP, Tajikistan and the other Romanian assets
Under Magabe the Zimbabwe High Court said we were due compensation as the fields were illegally taken from us.
If Zimbabwe still follow that ruling we could get those diamonds returned and compensation for the stolen asset
At an auction in 2010 Zimbabwe rough diamonds made about USD$30 carat, today Zimbabwe rough diamonds are worth about USD$90 per carat @ 2021 prices
If we win that's roughly USD$26 million for the diamonds plus compensation
Not forgetting our update on BP, Takob and the other Romanian assets before the end of January. With increasing commodity prices for Gold, Silver, Zinc and Molybdenum this SP will keep on rising...
Value of mined ZMDC diamonds...December 2013 in Antwerp an aution of 300,000 carats were sold for $10million
Take no notice of any derampers, DYOR, Google search any past news of ACR/African Consolidated Resources PLC (especially news from FT on 16 Feb 2011). It explains what happened in detail, definitely worth a read.
Zimbabwe Diamonds sell for between US$400 to $12 000.
Recently 350 000 went missing from a safe in Zimbabwe valued at $140million
Vast has over 129 000 rough diamonds that are being held in a safe...lets hope they are insured just in case
Second time since the beginning of the year this SP has spiked at 25% in a few hours, then dropped back, it's what it does, it's an ideal share for day traders, it will do the same again towards the end of the month with a decent Q4 update. Our resident derampers have done very well for themselves so far...
If you lost out today just wait another week. Rinse and repeat.
It's like Rockhopper, you can win...
Diamonds, Commodity prices up, no placement, only positive news so far...Next will be the Q4 results by the end of the month.
Vast has finally turned a corner
They're back, train must of been late getting into the city...
Wow, good news, its all happening this month
Our usual derampers are quiet this morning...
Video on YouTube...Molybdenum producers do not listen to the market, with CPM
It's 9 months old but worth watching if you're not sure about molybdenum (recently jumped 58%)
Turdean, 40 years of experience in mining, mainly in Romania, made money for Cupru Min when in charge, boss at ANRM
Could be the man to get us out of this rut, knows his mining regulations as ANRM wrote most of them and to get around them, also believes in the value of Remin, has contacts from working at Cupru
Let's see what AP and Turdean have achieved with the next set of results
I have faith in Vast in its operations in Europe, mainly because AP has to follow European regulations in safety and paying it workers fairly, he also has to follow AIM rules
Tajikistan I'm not to sure about, it looks promising and will be a good money earner but it's just the characters Vast is working with. The leader of Tajikistan and his family are involved in many things and are well known for lining their own pockets, Formin, Vast partner, is formed by unsavoury characters from the Romanian business and political world, known for making millions but declaring very little.
I know Glencore investors don't lose sleep over the way it conducts its business especially in Tajikistan but Glencore has deep pockets when it gets caught out, I hope AP knows what he's doing
We also need to see those reports from ALS Romania on the Takob tailings (I may of missed them and I can only find the ones for BP in 2020)
Looking forward to the results this month and what AP has achieved. If he can't make money in 2023 he never will.
