Obviously I'm not promoting them now as the circumstances have changed but it was all about timing.

Back to Matad, MB continues to mislead shareholders.

What happened to the JV he keeps talking about?

Didn't I warn people that there won't be one? Not for the foreseeable future at least.

Like I said, this is a hype.

For one, the 10% is a potential. It is not guaranteed.

Secondly, any potential revenue would be years away.

More urgently would be the funds required to keep Oracle and their project commitments afloat.

If people really believed in Northern Zone and are confident as they say, then they wouldn't be so sensitive when facts are being pointed out.

Why are they so afraid of the facts?

Look at all those dissolved companies under the leadership of PH.

Based on MBs past statements and hardly any of them have been delivered, I can't see why anyone genuine would trust him anymore....

*When MB said 60-70% COS, all wild cat were dusters

*When MB said ongoing JV interests from multiple parties, no deal in the past 10 years

*When MB said exclusivity and support from the Mongolian Government, extensive bureaucratic processes hold ups

*When MB said fully funded, he then raises funds a few weeks later

* When MB said the company needed funds to help the company stay afloat after the COVID period, he got the funds and went and blew it on Gobi wildcat.

*When MB said Gobi evaluated to be a good prospect, it turned out to have no sign of oil

*When MB said H1 flowed at 821bopd, he then choked back the well for a maintained flow rate of 200bopd, but then the final flow rate turned out to be 160bopd

*When MB said Heron has millions barrels of oil potential, he then goes bid for the Borzon Block and thinking of moving onto that block instead

* When MB said H1 is a quick easy fix with a cheap sand screen, he then says in the next RNS alternative methods may be required

* When MB said payment is expected in May, he then tell the market of the tax issue like he wasn't expecting it.

* When MB spoke of plans to boost H1 production, he then drops the plan like he never mentioned anything

Would you wanna trust such man on your investment decisions?

It begs the question where did the money end up going....

Share price goes up from good performances and and delivering excellent results, something that Matad has been lacking all these years

Exactly, people on this bulletin are supporting war so they can make their blood money. It's unethical and the bigger problem is Matad don't have much oil even if crude prices were to rocket. It doesn't really make sense except some people are trying desperately to hype up the stock

Unsure why people are getting hyped up just because Oracle owns 10% of Northern Zone. For one, any future revenue is a potential.

There are too many external and unpredictable factors for mining stocks, like whether the mine is commercial for starters, then getting granted the legal paperwork to enter the mining phase, and additional approval and cost for the heavy machinery and build a processing plant and storage.

Even if factoring in MEGAs funding, Northern Zone still needs to be commercially viable for the project to advance and it could be years of work until first revenue.

Meanwhile, we know Oracle are low on funds and they have other projects that requires funding. Most of the Oracle projects are related to mining, the Thar coal, the Blue Valley copper mining, the Green Hydrogen energy etc....

All these projects requires plenty of upfront cash and the risks are high from external factors. Eg: whether the local government still supports the project, or will they pull out on the plan and licence revoked.

Mining stocks are just too brutal from the continuous heavy funding and high risks that they carry.

In my honest opinion

Not sure why people would want to invest here based on the poor track record. There must have been like 7-8 duster in the last 10 years.

Think of all those money wasted and these guys are still not making a adequate profit. Too many external factors and costs that Matad are still failing to address. I think it's time to move onto something else. It's not like Matd is the only investment opportunity here.

This is not your typical mining stock, where you often see companies put tens of millions into ground surveys, seismic data, applying for mining licence, putting a crew together and arranging heavy machineries like a rig on site, only to hit a dud, and even if they hit the stuff, then there will be tax royalty, logistics costs, and setting up plants and storage facilities only to them be charged more fees for export tariffs.

This is AI, it's in the midst of the trend, it's the future, people and government bodies needs it, unlike mining stocks where its a one chance hit or miss, AI can be evaluated, test, trialed and reworked. The technology can be expanded into broader use.

Defence Holdings have recently announced a strategic collaboration with Gloucestershire Police focused on AI for policing workflows. The company has launched a “national security executional pillar” aiming to apply AI to domestic security and resilience. Under this collaboration, ALRT’s AI will be tested to automate conversion of police interview recordings into structured reports (ROVI/ROTI), tackling tasks that currently consume large amounts of officer time.

If the pilot proves successful, this could provide a pathway for broader operational deployment of AI tools across UK policing, exactly the sort of automation and efficiency-boosting measures featured in current national AI policing reform discussions.

What does it mean?

For those who are unaware, supermarkets uses facial recognition technology to monitor and evaluate shoppers behaviours.

Say if a consumer's facial expression and body language raises suspicions, eg: if they display signs of behaviour for shoplifting, then the AI technology will notice through the camera and flag up an alert to the security team for them to keep a close watch.

Whether this technology is invasive or against human privacy is not for me to say. What is certain is that AI technology is becoming more apparent in our daily lives.

AI technology and stocks should do very well in the midst of the trend.

On the subject of national security, the UK is steadily advancing to a digitally monitoring state.

There are facial recognition cameras on UK streets and they are increasing at rapid pace. This will be the first phrase of a nationwide cyber security.

It means that there will be plenty more opportunities for defence companies to showcase their innovations and capabilities in shaping UK sovereign defence.
