Again, correct Ray. The Slovene government clearly prefer the easier way of appeasing the Russians and the environmentalists by importing Russian gas and not wanting any larger amounts of Petisovci gas. I believe much of the heating of people in the countryside use is with polluting wood burning stoves and any gas is used by light industry and the relatively small population in towns for central heating. Slovenia has a small population anyway. They probably allowed AST in in 2004 in the same way as MPs here voted to trigger Article 50 and voted on subsequent Brexit bills only to adamantly oppose Brexit when it came to the final deal. Now AST are looking to stimulate to increase production the Slovene government has decided against. The new BoD needs to find a way around this, Boris style.
