On brain clotting....the reason JNJ had to halt their trial in October was because a young man 20s died.
So looks like although rare....there is some connection between adenovirus vaccines and this brain clot thing.
Europe’s new BionTech facility starts to deliver 250m doses in this new quarter, 200 of which destined for EU.
So, although EU in complete muddle of their own making, it is very likely by end June they will have caught up with UK.
Within the 27 some states are doing very well, whilst France and Germany literally changing their minds on weekly basis. The consensus now appears to be give the AZN to older people and the mRNA to younger people. Makes a lot of sense to me.
Think a few politicians in Europe will get the chop for this.

Shocked to see SkyTV banging on about Leiden....AZN did not apply for facility to be approved by EMA in timely manner...why was this? Were AZN instructed by uk govt to slow approval down so they could snaffle up more vaccine for UK?

There is some agreement that 2 shots of one viral vector is as much as is possible, thereafter it appears a different viral vector is needed.....hence the AZN chats with Sputnik V....to potentially swap vectors.... chat been going on for 2 months now? Not a scientist...but could be challenging for booster shots?

The relevant point for AZN is they may need to do business with the Galamaya Institute to get over the viral vector issue?

Anyone else notice Sahin’s New Years’ Eve message to all his collaborators and academic colleagues and manufacturing partnerships did not include N4p? 3 months later I’m finally completely out. Very disappointed. I wish you all well with Nuvec and probably N4P will now double this pm!

Correction/clarification.....sufficient bio doses held back for 2nd dose of bio shot....think approx 6/7million...this from Lancet/BMJ/guesswork as actual figures a state secret? Shipments from Puurs as at mid Feb was 21. 1st shipment was 880k doses... shipments jan/Feb/March probably smaller. On mixnmatch no data. Instinct says not optimal.

This is good idea. So is the Nuvec system N4P. So is the full scale trials of Comirnaty in lyophilised form....full data review on 30/05/21. I fear AZN, in failing to supply COVAX in timely fashion, are going to have a job signing contracts in future. Whilst I believe the EU are misbehaving there is fault on both sides. Just opinion.

This bb clearly and correctly full of antiEU and pro AZN posts. Suspect the actual truth is that richer nations within EU would prefer citizens to have 95% plus protection. Whole of Scandinavia waiting for BioNTech supplies to come through and using clotting issue to stall roll out. More densely populated countries in a complete mess and need to activate roll out with AZN to stop economies grinding to a halt...AZN should get a prize for doing the donkey work but booster shots will come from mRNA...imho.

Hopefully that 600k sale is the end of the rump of Aussie mums and dads selling through UK. Looks mopped up tidily with proper holder. PA is very astute at getting ducks in row and is making sure of an orderly market going forward. No point of issuing imminent BP while cleaning up unwanted shareholders.
