Yes, I added near close of play yesterday because I thought we would get the TR1 this morning first thing. News should start flowing anytime. 2.5p is not unrealistic at all... MC would still only be around £70m.

With the diamonds being sold, more projects in Taj, a JV for BP and ops re-starting in Zim, I can see VAST heading to £100m+ in the next few months.

On that 4% trade, I can still see volume of 120m at 9am on Friday morning - which was significantly higher (100m +) than the hour before and the hour after. Can't imagine that it was some sort of phantom trade!

ASI - I was referring to the RNS on 25th April re the sale of the diamonds. The quote from the 7th May RNS is consistent with that... possibly. My assumption is that he'll clean and sort and then let us know the approach with potentially selling some of the lower value ones sooner rather than later.

That's odd - it was definitely there on Friday morning or else I wouldn't have commented. I don't have the facility to look at historical trades in detail, I'm afraid.

I think the next news will be related to Taj - the mining forum is on Monday in London. VAST is one of the sponsors - AP and the recently appointed James McFarlane are amongst the speakers.

Have a look at the relevant RNS on 5th Dec - it said 'The MOU sets out that the Parties shall develop a road map for implementation of the Projects within 90 days upon signing of this MOU and more information will be announced as appropriate.'

I'd expect an update on the road map and confirmation of some new projects. With this and the diamonds, we've got an interesting week ahead. Given AP suggested that the sales process would begin within a month, we should hear something in the next 10 days.

Why delay the announcement? Are they still accumulating?

TR1 expected anytime - will be very interesting to see who took 4% on Friday.

Others here have suggested that Vast is simply a gamble or a bet and not a true investment. I tend to disagree. Diamonds are just the start... much more to come from Zim and Taj.

I reckon that's why we got someone taking a 4% stake on Friday... it will be really interesting to see who it is.

That's a 4% holding... takeover incoming? Spoke to a mate a few weeks ago who thought that some rich guy in Taj might want to buy VAST... just speculation at the time but who knows!

Invest - you're spot on. I expect to be hearing about potential new projects in Taj this month and there is, of course, the re-starting of operations in Zim. When AP said during the last interview that he thought that VAST would be come a medium sized mining company, I took that with a pinch of salt... BUT... if he's got a good handle on the diamond valuation, having seen them, then I think the diamond bonus opens up all sorts of opportunities.

So... after all the banter...the net result is that the diamonds will likely be worth more than ASI has estimated???

FWIW, I value ASI's contribution here. From what I can glean from this board, he is far from a 'simple' investor. He is cautious though and not prone to speculation.

Whilst ASI is generally cautious, I'm bullish on the value of the diamonds... and very bullish on the prospects for VAST.

AP did say that he reckons VAST will be a medium sized miner soon... looking forward to his plans, especially, getting Zim re-started.

Loveaffair - I'm very surprised that the market cap hasn't soared past £15m!

Have to say that my initial enthusiasm for the LOI and Glencore have been somewhat tempered by the realisation that we need to wait until July for significant news. GR had said prior to this latest phase that the first thing that would happen is the 1 week trial but I've now got the impression that this won't happen until all the changes to the plant have been done. Not the best approach for the sp. Would have been good to get confirmation that the reagent changes had the desired effect. Drift is already happening.

ASI - Zim is slowly changing. Goodness...none of us really thought they'd give the diamonds back. Opening up again in itself could be transformational.

AP is taking a sensible approach to BP in that he's looking for a JV partner. I'm looking forward to a number of news points on other projects -

Zimbabwe plans - 'The Company retains a continued presence in Zimbabwe. The Company is re-engaging its future investment strategy in Zimbabwe and has commenced discussions with further mining concessions in-country alongside its wider portfolio.'

Taj plans - AP has managed to get VAST into a prominent role and we should benefit from new developments.

BP used to be THE thing and the sp reacted accordingly with the lack of progress but it will be less of a thing going forward.

The future looks bright - market cap is still less than £12m.
