CF - you've been around Prem a long time and you simply can't ignore the poor management, the absolute destruction of value and the bad, bad, bad decisions that GR has made. Whatever the assets that PREM ends up with, they're still in GR's hands - I have zero confidence that he can do anything which will be sustainable or profitable!
And it seems highly unlikely that he is going to step aside/release his grip.
The majors are scouring the planet for lithium - do you not think that it's strange that PREM hasn't been snapped up in the last 3 years?
And so, if the EPO is granted, GR has a bigger chunk of lithium to grip on to - does that make him more or less likely to share that out? I'd suggest the latter.
I do hope that this is the turnaround that people expect but, as many on here have indicated, there has always been something that has got in the way. Is that down to bad luck or incompetence? I'd suggest that it's the latter!

How many times are we going to go round this random speculation that there is some major waiting in the wings?

Just as entitled as anyone else to comment, chanlfc. Over the years, I've been pretty consistent - GR has been the problem here. If these assets were in someone else's hands, the sp would be a multiple of where it is now.

Good reminder, whatitsworth. The EPO, if granted, gives GR a much bigger financial headache.

Prem is still a mess, it has no income to speak of, who knows when/if RHA will start producing profitably, who knows when Circum will cough up anything, who knows when/if GR will stand aside, who is going to give Prem any cash... without GR having to surrender a good chunk of Zulu, what clever ruse has GR got up his sleeve this time to get things going? I believe that GR's last statement on finance was that there would be no more fund raising until after the EPO... no doubt, he's got a whopper of a fund raising planned!
Past performance is a good indicator of future performance and, aimho, GR is more than likely to mess up! He doesn't have a track record of getting good finance!

Old news Mr Magoo and, even so, until it is signed, it isn't signed!! Anything could happen!!

Humpalumps (great name btw) - some on here were expecting an RNS on the same week as that article. If not then, on the following Monday - and now two Mondays have passed. And I suspect that there will be many more Mondays that pass before we hear anything official.

Futureisbright - the Chronicle article is 2 weeks old and, guess what, nothing has progressed!

I'd be surprised if it was sorted within a month! Look at what happened with RHA.
What I'm beginning to understand is that things are done way differently in Zimbabwe - I reckon that it's only when things get booted up to the President that it's then looked at seriously. He (the President) holds all the cards!

Sandman - you sound as if you're new here! Check out GR's previous statements about spinning Zulu out on its own... 2 or 3 years ago. It didn't happen.

Personally, I'd be worrying if the President is talking to Tesla, Panasonic or whoever. These firms are looking to secure Lithium deposits - could the President attract these guys by offering the Zulu EPO to them instead of Prem? My understanding is that this isn't a done deal for PREM until the President puts his signature on the deal... that's not happened yet and the longer the delay...…..

I'm just trying to be realistic here... the last 3 years have been extremely painful for holders and whilst some will want to be uber optimistic, nothing is signed yet!

Wow - this really is deja vu!!! Big backer? Chinese? RTO? Circum imminent? GR stepping down? With the potential, you would think even at this SP, someone would come along and take PREM out (even if it was just for Circum..... but it just isn't happening!!

It's all getting a bit crazy here! Whilst I agree that Prem has potential upside in different hands, unfortunately, GR has shown no willingness to step away. Over the years, he's had all sorts of schemes to step aside but none of them have come to pass and I reckon some deals haven't worked out because GR has not been willing to release his grip... and there's the small matter of retiring at a time when he can say that it's been a job well done! AIMHO but he'll be sticking around for a good while yet. I should add that shareholders have never been high in the list of priorities at Prem - any deal is going to benefit others before it benefits us. RTO... possibly but I can't see that being done until there is some certainty about Circum and who knows when that "imminent" event is going to happen? As I said before, there's no previous evidence that anything is going to happen quickly!

when one considers the combination of Zim and GR, it doesn't smack of an easy ride to a sustainable and successful company! The longer that this delay goes on for an official announcement, the lower the sp will drift. Personally, I think that the President's involvement means further delay and who knows what he's going to extract from Prem. Take the RHA deal as an example, the Zim gov't were just not going to give up on their stake - whatever the argument GR could put forward. I can't see them handing over the extended Zulu opportunity without having a major stake in it.

The general pattern with Prem is that some potential good news is leaked, hopes are raised and, as it's Zimbabwe, nothing ever happens in the timescale we expect, folk get disappointed, sell and the sp heads lower. When the official news does hit, after GR has been meddling with whatever deal is on the table, it's never as good as first thought and the sp heads lower again.
I really do hope that this situation is different but...…..

Yes Acker - we both know that GR has no track record of doing a good deal so I'm fully expecting the Zim gov't to extract something from PREM that hasn't yet been factored in.
And we all know that PREM should be valued way, way above the current sp BUT the factor that has dragged PREM down and down and down has been GR's captaincy. It doesn't look like he's stepping aside (it's not the first time that he's committed to do this) so I'm just not convinced that this is the turnaround that we're all hoping for.

Really good to see the massive rise from all time lows and I'm really hoping that this is finally the turnaround.

A word of caution though. In all my years with Prem, nothing has been straightforward or on time with GR or the Zim gov't. Just take the fiasco with RHA - it's still not back in production and it wasn't the deal that any of us had hoped for or expected.
A lot of the excitement seems to be deja vu with talk of majors getting involved with Zulu... where have I heard that before?

Can't believe that I'm posting on this board again and can't believe that we're seeing a bit of a rally. Can't believe that old George might actually be on the cusp of turning this basket case, nightmare around. I don't doubt that he's got some sort of agreement but we'll be back into that deja vu cycle again... what should old George do with Zulu... sell it, keep it or share it? And if he keeps it, will he be able to exploit it?

I'd suggest that this is a major buy signal - apart from clearing the decks for any corporate action, the boys at CERP are expecting to see the sp climb over the next few months. aimho
