I called it wrong on Friday on the s and p- still think it's overdone(overall markets that is and fear on US recession on FED seen by some to be late on rate cuts, slow down ensuing and so on).

Gold holding up which is a good sign.

I do think this is a market panic reaction and I don't expect the s and p for example end of the 1.7% down for the day the futures are showing- time will tell- but markets like to move.

I glean this from all the indicators and not just NFP.

Disagree Kando- miners won't get crushed- this is not a scenario like we've seen in COVID and 2008, nothing like- it's simply markets reacting to to the FED being a bit late according to some.

In my first 2 scenarios there was also a massive gold sell off too.

My view is this is why CEY hasn't jumped as normal on this sort of gold rise, due to the equity panic today for the reasons I've posted.

July avg hourly earning rise 0.2% against 03% estimate

Non farm payrolls: 114k way lower than 175k consensus

Growth scare (gold initially, but stocks down)- potential policy mistake by FED being late of rate cuts

Unemployment rate for July: 4.2% v 4.1% estimate

To add- the FTSE 250, and 100 are down, s and p down (for now as it's only part way through day), barrick gold down, endeavour mining down (4.57% as of now)... gold is actually up on 24hour chart by about 20USD.

CEY is a stock.

The data game is an odds game and works more often to not (well it has for me) and pushed the odds in favour. However, not full proof.

There are many data points and you need to work out your own strategy which you need to continually evolve.

Yes, though, I would have expected a rise here today too, as gold is a primary driver.

You act more like a sheep as you just hold and moan.

You actions dictate your status, not your words and you act more like a sheep as you just continue to hold.

I find it hard to understand why you don't act on your own statements.

Traders here, like me, don't act like sheep, we follow the data and act accordingly.

Old post from yesterday, and can see some analysts concur too, the gold not sold seem to have been overlooked by the bots yesterday-

Tony- any idea when they will catchup and sell it? Will this be in Q3 results, bumping up the gold sold significantly?

Come on CEY, get with the game and rise!
