Yes correct- this is since 04:00- at that to the current sp and u get about 163

The big question for traders is will the sp recover at the open causing further gains here or start to go up over there when it is realised it’s a good deal for them?

It’s a great hold position as the fear of a drop from here remains still a massive gain from yesterday’s close, even if it does drop and bit, the the possibility of further gains remain high for a number of reasons already posted.

There are many here who trade this stock like me- and the repercussions of released data shape directions- the speed of change is of course getting exponentially faster, but it drives the markets, no doubt.

I've been extremely profitable doing this.

I may not agree with the way the system works, but I'm pragmatic and work within the system and when this alters which it frequently does, I adjust.

I'm only interested in making money on this stock, nothing else.

Note- I've raised a lot of money in the past for a specific charity over the years for personal reasons and continue to do so, and having money has helped me do this.

As I've said before, I have other investments, run by others who adopt the same approach. Balance is key.

Of course, I could bang on about how unfair things are and so on, but it doesn't make money for me, my family and friends, so I work within the system, and do not let how these systems are run cloud my judgment.

It's a long way in the future, hence the muted reaction I guess- Q3 should be good if prod hits projected and all gold sold with backlog sold too.

Meantime- key economic data this week coming which will provide the normal moves here, depending on what is shows of course.

it's the future that's important and labour must focus on growth.

we are where we are, and there's no point in then whining on the past, especially when they supported many of the policies eg continued lockdowns which caused a massive slug of debt- this debt would have been way higher too had labour had their way with more and longer lockdowns. since taking power, focus has been on creating more crime thresholds online, trying to ban ***s in pub gardens, taking fuel allowance from some pensioners, paying more to public sectors without any mandates for change (eg nhs and so on) and preaching a negative position, without counter-balancing this with how they propose to make this pain work with future growth.

The biggest issue we face with Labour is the complete lack of any policies for growth.

We all know that there is only much you can do by making reductions- we must have growth to pull us out.

Paying public services more without growth is dire. Unless they deliver growth policies, everyone will continue to suffer.

As I say in footie - it’s all very well having a great defence and conceding no goals, but if you don’t score you won’t win - conceding a few and scoring more will win.

The iht and pension elements are likely to be one or all of the following:

A reform of Business Property Relief (“BPR”). Currently an interest in a trading business owned for two or more years qualifies for 100% relief from inheritance tax. It could be that this relief is capped at a certain amount per person or there could be a change to the requirement as to the level of trading activity that the business must undertake

It could be that BPR is removed for certain “investments” like AIM listed stock. If the relief was initially introduced to encourage entrepreneurs to take risks to start up and grow a business, the Government may take the view that allowing the same relief to be claimed for a particular type of investment is not what was intended

It is possible that the granting of a capital gains tax uplift on death as well as BPR on the same assets is seen as too generous. The view could be taken that an asset qualifying for 100% BPR from inheritance tax should not be revalued for capital gains tax as it otherwise provides a “double benefit” to beneficiaries of an estate

Currently pension funds are exempt from inheritance tax but there are rumours indicating that the Government could seek to include pension funds in a person’s taxable estate on death or that there might be the introduction of a limit to the amount of pension that could be passed on tax-free to create a “pension” nil rate band similar to the residential nil rate band

The regime for potentially exempt transfers could be overhauled. Currently, gifts made over seven years before a person’s death are exempt from inheritance tax. If the Government decides to draw from past reports when considering any inheritance tax changes, an All Party Parliamentary Group in 2020 proposed introducing a charge on lifetime gifts — at 10% over a £30,000 annual allowance

Other rumours and be heard:

There is also talk of pensioners over U.K. pensionable age who work could pay NI on earnings

Reduction in amount of tax relief offered to pension contributors to 30% for higher rate tax payers

These are all the options I’ve heard so far-
