If WorldQuant wanted to make money shorting they could have made a fortune on ARB. Meanwhile 4D bobs up and down a few % each day, like a fisherman's float gently bobbing up and down while a huge fish circles the bait. Their years of research combined with positive results of initial tests lead me to believe that 4D will be a prize catch.

I like the RNS statements about planning manufacturing. Shows they are thinking about the reward phase of many years of research.

Surely WorldQuant cannot have done well with their attempt to short DDDD. One wonders why did they not pick ARB instead? Seems to me that although the share price dipped, it has overall gone up since they shorted on May 12. I would be very surprised if share price drops significantly, and if it does I will buy even more.

It is a sobering read, explaining the risks in great detail. One wonders how the share price could have been so high several years ago when they were just starting out. At least now they have achieved several years of progress, forged industry links and carried out trials with promising results.

For any newcomers, be aware some people post comments with an agenda, so scrutinise carefully what they say and be very sceptical of what you read here. Not all the posts here are friendly tips, some are designed to trick people into buying or selling. Rampers and derampers abound, don't be easily fooled.

Obviously something has happened, I haven't seen it jump up this much for a while. Will it continue or will it sink? Either way I am in for the long term because I like what the company is doing.

When posts suddenly appear spouting "interesting" views such as yoghurt and Actimel provide the same benefits as 4D products then one wonders why. The strange combination of blatant de-ramping, and Richard Griffiths increasing his holding makes me suspect that these weird appearances are for a reason.

Mansion: I reckon we all agree the share price is not where we believe it could be. I guess SNG and ARB and many others went through a similar phase. Everyone has an opinion and mine is that DDDD has a bright future. I am invested in 4D so I am here. I certainly don't go around other boards visiting shares I don't own and venting my frustration on shares I have no investment in, it would seem a waste of time to me. I certainly don't want to become a sad act timewaster.

I do believe 4D are researching game changing ideas. I just saw an article about microbiomes connected with Covid.

You are right, HL have stopped trades of XBT. It seems the FCA have banned funds based on bitcoin holdings. So I put some into Argo Blockchain instead who are a crypto mining company. That was allowed.

I have not traded any bitcoin yet. Last time I looked HL allowed XBT in a sipp which is what I am interested in. I believe my son bought bitcoin direct and has it in a digital wallet, some kind of hardware key he told me. My gut feeling is there will be a downward correction, but with bitcoin it is hard or impossible to predict what might happen.

Surprised this board is so quiet, bitcoin has been the star performer of latter part of 2020. I suppose there will be a downturn at some point before it swings up again. My son has made a small fortune this year so I am now looking at bitcoin. Anyone have thoughts when it might swing down? I don't want to buy at the peak prices.

"Life changing for patients and investors" - well I certainly hope so. I have thrown a large chunk of my SIPP into 4D. It does all seem rather good though. I like the science and much prefer investing in this rather than oil, gold or cryptocurrency.

I very much hope there is good news soon. Although I am a small investor I have hopes for 4D and have put a good amount of my meagre funds on them. Been watching 4D for ages and bought my first shares when it was way higher than now.

I understand that 4D are conducting trials, however before the drugs can be sold are there other hurdles to be overcome such as FDA approval or equivalent for UK & other countries? I remember that Motif Bio looked promising until their FDA approval was rejected, they are now dead as far as I know. Ran out of cash I believe after FDA rejection. Could 4D suffer the same fate?

It seems the trials were a surprise. The question is whether the company has enough cash to keep going until they can fix the problem or make progress with the Clevegen.

Anyone know why Sapia and Cannacord have bought a lot recently? Looks like they both bought a lot and crossed the threshold for RNS announcement.

I reckon the company is investigating an interesting area. I have a small amount invested and initially thought it was going to be quiet for a long time. Then there was the rise in mid August and I got my hopes up but that turned out to be a blip. I still believe it has potential, just hard to know when the rise will come.
