Wish I had studied more about the situation of SA before investing. I like the idea of the Vanadium Batteries but there seems to be rampant corruption. Sky News : how-cyanide-poisoning-of-eskom-boss-andre-de-ruyter-shines-light-on-corruption-in-south-africa-12783140 This is my 2nd attempt to post, the first attempt disappeared.
Did anyone with Hargreaves receive any notification about voting for this latest salvage attempt? As horrible as it all is, I guess 6p is better than 0p.
The fact that the suspension and administration dropped out of the blue shows how risky AIM can be. Perhaps Oliviera knew the reality but the BoD managed to hide it from others, including some professional investors. It is a pity that AIM can be riskier than crypto, and that management can get away with driving a company irresponsibly into the ground. Perhaps Duncan was only interested in tinkering in his laboratory and cared nothing for the shareholders that he deceived into sponsoring his hobby.
I hope 4D get good results soon, they are not alone in the search for cancer cures. A drug named dostarlimab has just produced some amazing results, it is now owned by GSK. I like the novel approach of 4d and invested quite heavily in the company. "Tumors just vanished" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0rbO3pnqDI
It will be a pity if Sang leaves. Seems to me he understood the science and had researched 4D carefully. His posts were far more informative than some of the other ramp / de-ramp rubbish I have seen on here.
Are there rules that prevent investors with large investments getting inside knowledge? For example, if the trials were not going well, would Oliviera have access to this information while regular investors do not? My guess is there are are official rules in place but who is able to monitor a discreet phone call? It just seems odd that Oliviera is selling out at such a low price when we believe there is good news coming.
In this festive season I am going to ask Santa to get 4D shares where they belong, out of the doldrums and into the realm of joy and excitement.
@Porky - I note you ended your post with "Exciting times". I admire your enthusiasm. I am longing for exciting times and I believe they will come. The past few months have not been exciting times for holders of 4D. As long as they don't get taken over while at this bargain price then we should be OK and the exciting times will arrive someday.
@Porky9 Most of us here believe the share price should be way above what it is. It is great to see enthusiasm and hope. The only problem is we have seen how the share price spikes on some good news and then goes through a period of decline, with even shorters involved. Hence myself and probably others are cautious about getting our hopes up too much. I thought from a week or 2 ago that this would slowly climb, yet we see another red day. I am also quietly topping up during this bargain period, but of course it is a risk.
The share price history of 4D shows that some must have bought in at over £1000. The rapid rise in early 2015 probably made some very rich, and I suppose there were some at that time who believed it would go even highter. Since those days it has hit a low of 25p or so. My belief is that after years of research, and some good results, that the share is likely to do well. But this is a biotech on AIM and wild fluctuations, euphoria and disappointment can be expected.
I have seen a sudden burst of posts stating things such as "news is due any day now", "the next resistance will be at £1.80" and so on. Those who have been with 4D for a while have experienced that the share defies logic, sometimes due to events such as Oliviera doing a firesale, other times we don't know what is going on. Some such as Sangi have obviously spent a lot of time researching the science, I trust the posts from Sangi. If I see Sangi posting "This will be at £1.80 next" then I might believe it. Otherwise I prefer to be cautiously optimistic so as not to be disappointed if things don't happen as soon as expected.
Friday was probably a too rapid ascent, today we see a slight descent. However as others have stated the directors and large institutions bought in at prices above what it is now. I am not planning to sell, these could be the tremors before the volcano erupts.
I am sure I saw some posts about market manipulation being the reason for the surprising low price. However I believe it is simply the fact that Oliveira - South Ocean has done a lot of selling and the share is not (yet!) on the radar of big buyers hence trying to sell a lot of shares with only a few buyers means the price will go down. I must admit I don't understand why South Ocean are doing this firesale, I firmly believe 4D are sitting on valuable science, in time there will be good news and the price will rocket.
I read that the sale of Perpetuus to a Chinese company was blocked, apparently because Perpetuus supply almost all the graphene for UK. Yet Perpetuus don't seem to be listed, so I wonder how come Versarien are not a major supplier?
Welcome to the DDDD forum Mumbo_Jumbo, and an excellent insightful first post I must say. Makes me wonder, what is the motivation for posting such a comment?
Shares sometimes meander up and down for no reason. EUA was on a decline for a while, but the underlying assets were good and it has jumped 75% this week. I believe DDDD will do the same. We all know DDDD had some great clinical outcomes a while ago, I believe their technology is a winner.
After a long period of sitting in the red things are finally looking good. I was wondering if the share was going to tank and end up being delisted. But.. patience has paid off.
I know this is obvious, but repeating SELL! with no supporting information doesn't contribute much. What would we think if someone made several posts containing only the word "HEEHEE!" or "HOHO!"? Yet repeating SELL! isn't far removed from that scenario.
Can anyone explain the sudden surge, even without a positive RNS? If there is no official news, yet the share price suddenly jumps up, does this not indicate someone has inside knowledge? I agree the 80's prices were undervalued yet there was a long period of doldrums and suddenly it goes up, seemingly based on no information.
Those large lithium battery containers do not seem far apart from each other. If they don't do something fast to extinguish the fire and remove the heat I reckon other containers could catch fire too. What a disaster. It seems to me the VRFB are the way to go.
