I think tufan is worried, why would the UK gov give away 30M to support a US company that is probably a long way behind RR? Would this be a complete waste of taxpayer's money? its the wording Tufan is using to the media that has me thinking. If he was very confident in getting the contract would he just keep his mouth shut and wait for the announcement?

I think this is all down to Sunak, I did not like Boris, but if he was still prime minister RR would have got the contract without all this palaver by now.

It would be a stab in the back to RR and an embarrassment to UK gov if RR did not get the bulk of the contract. aimo
