i believe that travel insurance premiums will increase considerably along with breakdown cover for eu travel which might be bad for the consumer but not the company.
as for investments they can be reallocated .
just as this year has been bad for some sectors and good for others the same will be the case for leaving the eu on jan 1st.
as churchill said never waste a good crisis.

dont see any great effect on dlg only problems i can see is vehicle accidents when travelling i eu
and the way they are behaving nobody will be going anyway.
and lets face it our financial markets will still be the leaders in europe no matter what the politicians say. markets always win over politics in the end.

londoner i take your point that head delved into a section of the market that was not their forte and have paid the price as i stated this must have been an embarrassment to the bod and hopefully they have learnt their lesson.
in fact jhd was more suitable for that section of the market than head was.
on your comment of jhd being too expensive i agree i have waited for some time for the opportunity to buy in to that stock and on monday of this week after the drop after the ex divi date i managed to buy at 4.48 which i think was a good entry price.
this company never seems to disappoint and looking at the world economies and the need for massive projects that will be needed in all economies to grow ourselves out of this mess i can only see this company going from strength to strength .
so as you say its not cheap but it is good and i am happy to hold both stocks .

hi londoner yes this was an expensive mistake and a huge embarrassment to the bod but hey nobody gets everything right all of the time.
but with the new warehouse and distribution system head will be a leaner and more efficient company going forward.
i expect the next 2-3 yrs to be very good for head as there will be a lot of changes and investments in both the public sectors and private corporate sectors.
the private sector has been very busy during the pandemic period to date with lots of people spending money on there homes etc and see this continuing through 2021.
looking forward to jan update on divi and financial position of company.
this is looking like a very good investment at the moment and i am pleased i bought in when i did just my opinion but am very bullish here. good luck steve.
ps. i also bought into another specialist flooring stock this week jhd you might want to take a look.

toff we are singing from the same hymn sheet dow & dax making new highs while we struggle to stay above 6000 as for bitcoin that just scares me to death .
i prefer to buy small and medium stocks as there is far less market manipulation .
i am also a short term trader not really a income buyer. there is many people on here that look at this stock as a income stock . (i dont its a good trading stock)

toff 1361 but get your drift and agree with much of what you say divi buying is an expensive mistake with many of the top 100 being controlled by the MM .

not good in my opinion engineering side struggling and likely to have another difficult year .
agriculture division just plodding along.
animal feed and supplement side struggling with mild weather etc.
company not in any trouble but just not going to make any great inroads in the present climate.
need a good brexit deal and a bad weather winter.
i have taken profits as think this may well drop but i will be back as i like the company.

well i have now made this stock my biggest holding after adding another 75% on monday.
i will not be adding anymore as i am over weight here as it is.
but i have to say that i have great faith in this company and am looking forward to next weeks results. very rarely do i get 30% of my trading funds in one stock am i right ? time will tell.

rivaldo you cannot ignore this it is 50m+ and although win has taken legal advice on this matter means nothing do you think that the vat man does not no have a top legal team believe me they no what they are doing!!!
this is different to hmrc under the customs & excise laws you are guilty until you prove them wrong not the other way round.
so that means if the vat man goes through with this claim win will have to pay the outstanding claim and then have to prove the vat man is wrong.
sounds very expensive to me .

have increased my holding by 50% today as i believe the brexit deal is a done deal.
i am expecting decent results but not remarkable who would in these times.
this company is as solid as they come and paying a respectable divi with lots of upside for sp.
