hi thumbsup
any positive publicity is good for stock.
but as i said in december think this has been on a lot of peoples watch list for some time now.
maybe people are thinking now is a good time to get in before the stampede comes.
expecting a lot of bad news about zombie companys going to the wall over next few months.
msm love to publish negative stories british disease i'm afraid .
hi theosus
sorry about delayed reply have had a rest from stock market over xmas to let my brain breath.
interested in your thoughts on graphene as it is not something i have ever had a conversation about before.
i have always viewed it as a miracle substance that nobody has found a large commercial use for.
versarian is a no no as the only person to make money from there is neil ricketts total crook imo
but that said sure there are some good companies in the graphene sector .
please do tell me what you know about using it for road surfaces etc and has it got any other unique uses .
theosus.
i have a primary bid account but to date i have not used it.
the aim market does not worry me in fact i have had some very good results from aim stocks.
i am also a member of share prophets which i find very useful when looking at aim stocks
and they are also very bullish on gold mining and oil stocks.
theosus.
yes i realise that there is many forms of mining stocks and although i have looked at various gold/silver stocks i always find myself backing away from them through lack of knowledge on my part makes me feel like a fish out of water .
but i still feel that i need to learn how to swim in this sector.
merry xmas to you.
theosus
i have no exposure to p/metals but do feel that i should have but every time i start looking into a stock i seem to find negatives but i guess that mining stocks are always a leap of faith to a certain extent . i would like a copper stock as believe demand for copper will be in great demand over he next few years.
if you can tell me of any mining stocks that you think is worth looking at please do let me know.
atb steve.
no i dont am a bit like you not sure it would be value for money to me but would like to see it in operation or speak to someone that does use it .
i do remember when reading rb book he stated that he could not trade without it ?
i tend to study stocks in various sectors and try to figure out the price and timing of when to buy and sell not always right but then who is !!
theosus can i ask do you use level2 ?
aah yes i did read one of his books when i first got interested in shares very good books when you are just starting imo.
i see he took a position in beg very early after market crashed and is still holding so must be expecting the same result as us.
sorry but who is robbie
theosus.
thankyou for your reply and pleased that you agree with my diagnosis of the market and the outcome of the govt reactions to the pandemic.
sadly there will be many casualties in the market but for every loser there is always a winner and beg is one of them.
like i said in my previous post it is all about timing and i am hoping i have got this somewhere about right time will tell.
ps.- i have seen many of your posts on lloyds and you seem to be a level headed person to me so always pleased to hear from people that are of similar opinion to me as gives me comfort in that i am not going crazy in what i believe is a world that is losing the plot .
good luck steve.
toff
we do not know what the outcome of the talks will be .
but i do know that you ranting on this bb will have zero effect on the outcome
i for one believe that there will be a deal and will wait for an outcome before making my feelings known you should do the same imho.
toff
i am usually in agreement with you on market fraud and manipulation by mm etc etc.
but it appears to me on the current subject of brexit etc you are lowering your standards by constantly attacking people who do not share your views and opening yourself up to ridicule .
please do stop as you should be better than that as you are obviously an intelligent individual
and by continuing in this manner does not and will not enhance your reputation in any way.
no offence intended just my observations.
steve.
hi guys have bought into this stock yesterday afternoon and having read a load of comments on here over the last 6/8 months i just wanted to add a couple of comments.
there seems to be an overall opinion that nobody is interested in this stock ?
i disagree it is all about timing imo back in april having realised that this was a great opportunity to buy stocks in many different sectors i made a list of stocks that was so obviously going to rise over the next 24 months.
this list ended up at approx 50 different stocks in various sectors.
i then looked at what stocks would recover the fastest and started putting my funds in 6-7 stocks at a time during this time i have been in and out of 19 different stocks and made money on every single one with profits of between 11%- 113% .
i am not stating this to boast i am simply saying that anybody could see that the market had been decimated and that there was loads of easy money to be made but none of us could afford to buy all those stocks at once and so i tried to judge which stocks will recover the fastest. this stock was on many peoples watch list as it is obvious that its services are going to be in high demand during 2021 but it was never really going to fly while the chancellor was throwing money around like confetti but sadly for many businesses it is too late and they will fail in 2021
this spring is when beg will start to get really busy and the sp will increase as the real impact of covid becomes clear for all to see.
hold your shares there is nothing wrong here it is just timing imho.
good luck steve.
hi londoner spoke to my man again today and he confirms that retail orders are plentiful
and still has backlog of orders well into new year.
commercial carpet sales are down but are also lower profit compared to public sales.
he says that the over 70s are not the ones buying it is the working age groups .
also i forgot to mention this company also sells furniture and that side is also very busy hope this helps.
steve.
hi guys i notice this stock was doing well in the summer but has declined considerably in recent months can anyone tell me the reason for this.
just to add until todays announcement i was convinced that it was a no deal brexit .
but after today i now think bojo is caving in to eu as cannot see any other reason to keep talks open. interested to get your opinion on this.
hi londoner according to a local carpet shop owner that i have frequent conversations with he is stacked out with orders but struggling to fit them fast enough.
his fitters are working long hours trying to keep up.
his is a long established family business with a good reputation .
cabinet of third rate chancers.
i agree with you i told a friend recently that i would struggle to pick a decent cabinet from every party put together.
what a dismal state we are in the quality of todays politicians is the worst i history. imho
