Guilty as charged. Got too much money so throwing it into the IAG black hole :)
I've been invested in here about 6 months now. My main learnings have been not too get too excited on good news as bad news is always around the corner, and don't panic with bad news because something good will come along soon.
The price is going up and you can't see why it'll go down then it does, and when it seems like there's no stopping the drop it starts climbing.
Hopefully today will be good, but try and stay level headed about it all. ATB
This is a treatment, not a vaccine. Still good news though.
Brilliant, thanks very much for the detailed reply Treacle.
It all feels a bit illegal and certainly in ethical as a minimum!
If you've got time, can you explain how this works for me please and what the benefits would be? I'm not sure how this would work in a free market etc.
Thanks
Bobbins I agree with you but you'd have to add in the revenue generated too. So add 2.75B euros then divide.
TBF to the recent abusers, they are consistent. If it's a blue day we don't see them and if it's red they do.
I'm pretty amazed the SP has held so well, there was a lot of bad news today Inc vaccines not being effective and being delayed, local lockdowns, highest infections in multiple areas and we were blue. I still have concerns about losing a helluva lot of money here, but there are also optimistic signs. Here's hoping we have progress and (nearly) everyone is happy.
That's the fear George. I'm in Scotland and we had a local lockdown. My wife was in the bar that was the "epicentre" of the outbreak. Sturgeon got on stage and proclaimed our world beating track and trace system. Even though my wife was in the bar on the day of the outbreak she wasn't contacted. One thing we need to accept is politicians have a complete brass neck that the general Joe Public just can't comprehend, hence them getting away with it!
This statement is hopefully the game changer "We're also proposing an internationally recognised system, in which Britain would be a trailblazer, where tests and isolation take place prior to travel and after travel and would require no quarantine"
Why not just give it a rest? I'm struggling to understand why someone who is obviously quite intelligent can behave how you do, unless you are going throw some personal crisis?
This message board was good. Can't believe I am reading what I presume to be grown men throwing such insults about on a shares board. I've not even seen this on football forums.
Got to laugh at WAM and the 80p. You were saying 80p pre-RI so any figure how has to be adjusted for that. You're still miles off. No one knew the ratio of the RI so there's no way you did. You can't even get the number of days you're on holiday right.
Thanks for the updates.
Doesn't bode well for the industry in general then, so surprised we're up. I guess EZJ are a bit European so all the lockdowns may be impacting them more.
Why is IAG up and EZJ down?
My application for additional shares was essentially rejected. I applied for an extra 785 and received 26!
Suppose that's good news as the rights issue has been taken up buy people wanting them.
Thanks Marcus
What's an iceberg order?
According to some, today was D-Day for this share. There's a lot of bad news with Trump cancelling the stimulus discussions, airport testing being a couple of months away and the RI shares coming into circulation.
These RI shares may not come into circulation till tomorrow now, but if this share somehow manages to defy the negative news and the FTSE drop to end tomorrow above what it finished yesterday then I think it's a watershed moment and we will see positive increases in the coming months.
Closing price on the date multiplied by 2
RI price multiplied by 3
Add both of the above figured together then divide by 5
The main reason would be people taking a quick profit.
Currently trading at 97p whilst the shares we get tomorrow cost us 85p. So, essentially a 14%increase. Obviously, no one would make money as the terp was 130 something, but may offer the ability to reduce losses?
I'll be keeping mine for the next couple of years in the hope things don't get any worse.
