Given none of us know anything about the details of the deal, you cannot make the assertion that the deal is dragging.
The whole world has been surprised by a madman starting a war, can't blame the BoD for that

But protecting shareholder interest surely involves getting the best deal? So why potentially compromise that by releasing information to stop a sp slide due to a major political event? Only reason I can really see is to avoid a hostile takeover, but with the BoD having the bulk of the shares, this is unlikely.
I appreciate the clamour for information, but the current sp should have little bearing on the deal price that may have already been agreed. The war might cause some cold feet though

I'd imagine it's due to us not having as much info available on a potential deal as others and the somewhat binary deal / no deal outcome on this share. People are rightly concerned the war will cause the no deal outcome based on the current available information
