When 2 or 3 % of a share is traded in a day it is not significant in itself, but it feels like this is warming up to something happening.
Ltd companies are not listed on AIM, and AIM is not unregulated.
Someone will be left holding the baby!
Sounds interesting GGeko! What are you having for lunch?
"People paying 1.4plus for something that’s worth 1p. Am U missing something??"
Yes, the 1p offer will be swallowed up in costs so the 1p is actually 0p.
"Following completion of the SPA, the Company will be a non-trading entity with no subsidiaries and no material assets other than the cash remaining from the £2.8 million consideration received under the SPA, which will be required to cover transaction costs and residual and rundown costs of the Company. It is anticipated that, after meeting these costs, there will not be any remaining funds available for distribution to shareholders."
So shares are actually worth nothing if the deal goes through? And people are holding on the hope of what happening? Crazy!
More shameless ramping - "I think Hoskins & other big holders will block the miserable deal & sort out the mess once they join or replace the current BOD. Light at the end of tunnel for the revival of FLYB!!!!"
What exactly do you think Hoskins can do, or more pertinently will do, to "sort out the mess"? You have no idea, do you?
Stupid comments with no foundation to back them up.
philthedope, I have non idea what you have been smoking.
Mr Everitt still has 3million shares and it looks like he is intent on dumping the lot.
Interesting times for holders and gamblers.
You get 1p, regardless of what you paid for your shares or what they are being traded at. The price is 1p.
FLYB will be the subject of many papers on the psychology of investment - like Tulips and Bitcoin. There is a chance to get 4p when the offer is 1p. We know that the BoD have taken the money and will be absolutely determined to get this deal through. FLYB remaining solvent depends on it. You can vote "no" to the offer but I suspect the company will immediately enter administration Yet some people still think this is a buy.
Crazy!
Just for clarity, the sale is not a done deal. The sale is subject to conditions which as yet have not been met. Note the RNS stating the bridging funds could not be drawn on. Until such time as there all condition are met and all dotted lines are signed and the sale confirmed as completed, no sale. Do your own research and read carefully.
So what happens in the meantime? Who knows. This is hugely risky. This stock is one RNS away from boom or bust. It is a day traders dream.
Just shows what the Heathrow slots might be worth. I'm more convinced than ever that this cheeky first bid is just the beginning of a long journey.
Have faith.
Julian38 - do you believe that IAG will let those Heathrow slots go to Virgin for £2M?
Personal opinion, not while the have the resources to outbid them - and they definitely do.
No, this is an acquisition, not a merger. It is a cash offer.
As you say, no-one is taking 1p. What happens next is the interesting bit.
It is obviously a bid that is not going to get shareholder approval. It is a very cheeky opening bid but significant that we have a real bid on the table. Let the games begin!
" I take exception to somebody trying to reignite old religious divisions in my home city as well and it makes no commercial sense either just to get back at Rangers."
What exactly do you mean by this?
My thoughts exactly though I have nothing to back this up. A quick spike in advance of the weekend, after a period of doldrums, is interesting.
I'm in at 9.7p for a lump and a small top up at 20p. I'm in all the way because I believe there are huge profits to be had here. I'm surprised to be the subject of a thread. It really isn't about me. You pays you money, takes your chance. And as always, do your own research.
Best of luck all and have a great weekend.
I'm in on Flyb and not selling until I get the news I expect. The potential upside is massive for Flyb so no deramping for me.
Hvivo is a stock I'm watching with interest though not moving on it yet. Maybe I'll miss the boat, that's the risk you take. I'm always cautious of stock that spikes and drops quickly. I've seen too much of that. I like the fundamentals here though. This isn't the usual pump and dump microcap.
