As I said before, these Scottish fund managers are very shrewd. Standard Life buying in should have been the sign for everyone to follow. Knowledge is power and they clearly knew which way the wind was blowing.
I'm not surprised buyers are showing their hand early. Some have been critical of sale and leaseback. It provided quick liquidity, but can also be viewed as selling off the family silver. A buyer will likely want the whole company as is, then make those decisions for themselves.
