if what posters shared that boots walked as they had concerns on the balance sheet, is this not cause for huge concern as surely they would have done due diligence to some extent. just cant shake the feeling that something is rotten here

THG has fallen from 6bn market cap to just over 600m. how is this any better?
why is it always down more than its peer group? I can never understand why everyone makes excuses for it. there is a good business in Nutrition and maybe beauty, but it is so badly run with all FCF going into ingenuity for external projects. I simply cannot understand how there is not blood on the streets demanded Moulding go. it is his stategy that is running the cash low, and destroying share holder value.
what has be done for any of us?

thg and boo now almost at SP parity. the move to a premium listing took too long. this is clearly due Moulding holding on to his GS. he really is a selfish beep

ridiculous statement. clearly not enough shares have been traded in last 2 weeks to allow this. with the futures in heavy decline, and THG having limited buyers and high (short) sellers, expectation is (without an RNS) THG experiences another of its famous 5-9% drop days

very well reasoned Pearls, whilst I am unsure on the DD done at 5 quid, I do agree with you that THG is undervalued at anything under at least 1-1.2 quid.
but the board need to encourage investors to buy and shorts to stop shorting. the absence of buying and the increase of shorts worries me and makes me thing something is wrong behind the scenes. this is of course only my view, but i do believe a whale (likely boots) walked at the final stage, that beauty will materially disappoint, and Moulding will continue to over promise and massively underliver. the last update was so bad vs what he had guided, i think it was the final straw for the market. it was for me

based on what? to double your money the SP has to be in demand. there is no one buying at this price so why would they buy at say 80/90/100p which you need to achieve your uncalculated statement. rampers really annoy me.

if you can share a path to 120p that would be interesting ie. what ebitda/ revenue/ wins would be needed by division

all emotions aside, the lack of buying is a big cause of concern here - nothing worse for a share than zero interest

yeah the city Lie has been well and truly found out as a pumper dumper.
unfortunately THG is not a 1bn company, its barely a 700m company, and it has zero interest due to Moulding GS, Moulding decision to list as standard listing (only other business like this in the whole of UK stock market is S4C,) and as Moulding constantly missed his own guidance creating distrust

think thats the point Platus, its a much better deal for GOAT than THG. GOAT seems like a minnow tbh, and their own brands are tat.
nevertheless, it is positive as parters are needed to crack India.
but the main issue always remains with THG - there is a lack of trust in the company and esp in Moulding, hence no II buying, hence SP is brought down at will by shorts.

this has been going on now since Jan '21 - its crazy the board have not put plans in place to fix.

THG board just need to persuade II to buy. the fact they have tried (assumption but they must do roadshows) and failed (no RNS/ no volume/ sad posters making up betaville articles) suggests THG really may be facing some issues, combined with immediately replacing CFO couple of months back.

there is always the nagging feeling that something aint right with this share

guess a share can only go up if someone wants to buy. for THG, there is a total absence of buyers, which is strange at this price/ worrying

yeah well said Kando, I m not sure how moulding rebuilds that crebility as, to be fair to Bowler at Numis, he called out that THG could not hit their forecast straight after the October result, so he essentially know the THG buisness better than its founder, which in itself is worrying.

Gallemore has gone and I suspect was the main cause of miscommnuication; he was frankly terrible on any analyst call. sanders is a seasoned pro so should be better managing the City expectations.
one would think they have thrown the kitchen sink and will now aim to over- deliver.

but for me moulding needs to be replaced by a pro CEO in the same vain as above - you cannot have throw away comments like whales and 1bn GMV and then radio silence for another 3 months; its so amateur

beauty was -8% vs SPLY - this is also shcoking and dont see how trend will be better with Sephora now on and offline in UK

Ingenuity - well do any of us believe a whale has landed? guess it all depends on this.

Nutrition - would assume doing well esp with Iceland deal and we trending positive quarter on quarter. not to mention its input costs mainly whey have halved.

but THG does have a remarkeable ability to surpise to the downside and I guess this will come in the form on non cash large impairment of assets off the P&L, albeit they are intangible so broadly made up anyway

the worry will be impairments as the Hut splits its divisons.
I dont see for Nutition, but do for beaty based on very frothy buying valuations for CB, DS and BL - the intangible assets therefore have to be marked down
then of course ondemand will be marked down as they admit it cant break even

then there has always been the rumour of skeletons in the cupboard that arose after THG refused to show suitors the books evn though one was from its NED.

finally, why woudl anyone want to buy thispre the above is disclosed. its hardly likely to rocket between then and now, as no material news is likely to come out in a closed period

The Huy is an incredibly weak share. it doesnt ever get buying support, so will be buffeted by macro winds. It also will always underperform its setor (re boo and asos).
It likely only went up and shorts were loading ie buying more.
it will take a massive and positive event or series of events to get this back into the one pound mark. I think it will, but it can easily bugga up again and test the 30-40s.
the leadership team is just so rash and inexperienced, ranging from stubborn old men to young children.
