This is a no brainer30 Nov 2020 16:43
I cannot believe what an amazing investment opportunity this has now become. It’s very clear that the reason that the price is so low is because many unfortunate investors have no other option but to sell their stock due to the proposed delisting. At first I couldn’t understand why they weren’t either crossing or buying back their shares that were held in their ISA’s or SIPPS’s. Then I realised that unless you have the actual cash in your bank account you haven’t got the money to keep them. Obviously some of the investors in the Odey fund have had this problem hence the announcement of the 3% holding being sold. And I’m guessing that there are more sell orders being worked and we will soon see another TR1 . On top of this lots of investors have panicked and sold out. So basically the MM’s have an endless supply of stock that they can call upon. It seems that many investors don’t really understand what is actually happening and new investors definitely don’t. I have been heavily invested in this for a couple of years and I am still very confident that I will get a very good return. Over the last couple of weeks I have been picking up more shares at these crazy prices and have also recommended close friends to invest.
At the end of the day nothing has changed, Tri Star has a 16.3% holding in SPMP THAT CANNOT BE DILUTED . The Omani’s are heavily invested in this project and will ensure that it succeeds and once it gets to 100% capacity the revenues will be huge. Tri Star have talked of a liquidity event in the future and we also know ( hence the post from Conlonboy) that Glencore are very interested in buying it. At some stage someone will want our 16.3%. I have have told my closest friends that this is very likely to be a multi bagger from here and to pick some up whilst whilst we have this opportunity.
To me the only negative is the delisting, it’s not ideal because we are at the mercy of Crispin Odey and have very little options to trade our-shares. However he has the same objective as us, he wants to realise a good return from his investment. I would guess that during the recent negotiations the Omani’s probably made an offer of around 50p and he turned it down. I think that we will end up with anything between 70p and £1.50. To me this is a no brainer, just look at the facts.
