Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Gitfinger, what are you talking about?
The hydrogen series will run alongside the electric series showcasing both technologies.
It can only be positive for AFC because it’s likely we will be involved in both. To what degree for the hydrogen series, time will tell.
Also batteries for the current series are because it’s electric!
DYOR
Is Garonne prevaricating again…..? ;)
Indeed more of a competitor to ITM!
This tech will and is evolving rapidly we just have to trust our development team.
Now where’s our alkamem update?
Haggis, thanks for this.
How do we crack ammonia if there is no solar power in the first instance?
The only Schroders Funds I have seen holding AFC are LONG ONLY and within their mandates it’s absolutely forbidden to short.
I am pretty sure chippy knows this as well……
Haggis, you post some great stuff (not everything though is directly relevant) and clearly are very invested in AFC which is great but you need to be more balanced. Not everyone needs to be as bullish as us on AFC.
Please be constructive when you have a different opinion. From time to time I have bitten at Garonne and DW but this daily obsession is as dull as the negativity.
I have not posted for a while as this forum has become toxic and rather embarrassing at times. Certain individuals on the bull and bear side clearly have far too much free time - anyway I digress.
I can understand peoples frustrations at the end of the year as I think we all expected a bit more and it is a shame that the L Series has not sold up to now…. I do however feel we may have a blockbuster in the S Series (alkamem) and hopefully in the shorter term the S-series HFC flexible system to bridge the gap left by the L-series.
My 2 pennies worth is that this is nascent tech and not all of our products we bring to market will sell and of course on a short term basis it’s disappointing. As a longer term shareholder though I am super excited about the S-Series and take comfort from ABB’s £4m purchase in Q4.
We have plenty of cash in the bank, great tech, manufacturing capabilities in the UK/Middle East, political tailwind (net zero) and some superb partners to take our product to market (ABB, Mace, Acciona, Altaaqa, Julich and VARD).
Still lots of work to be done but if we can get this right then patient investors will be rewarded at some point this year and beyond….
Broadly speaking 2021 was a tough year for small caps, green stocks with value/cyclical shares and the usual mega cap tech shares leading the way so best to ignore short term noise and note how far AFC have come over the last 2 years….
No guarantees but GLALTH
It’s a grey area with insider dealing.
My understanding is that as long as at the time of the share purchase the director has no knowledge of the imminent sale/contract then it’s ok.
Ie. If a sale agreement is finally made this week and a contract is signed with ABB or Mace then I believe the 30 days is not relevant.
Having said that Directors have to be very careful as it could always be assumed that they would have knowledge ahead of the deal.
Haggis it’s a contract value of £4m so is it not more than one system? £4m for one system seems very pricey….
Genuine question
Just managing expectations predicated on AB’s interview. I have not totally given up on the L- Series so any orders there would be a big bonus.
The difference with the iPhone is that everyone already has one which is not the case with our partners and the L-Series (Extreme E aside).
Time will tell….
Good interview.
As suspected it’s clear that our partners want the S Series which is the game changer for AFC with alkamem. This is market leading in efficiency and power density which the L-Series is not.
I think they announced the ABB with this in mind otherwise any leaks of the L-Series not being in demand would be problematic.
Expecting more orders before the end of the year/H1 next year from ABB (date centers) and our other partners of the S-Series which is fine by me as a long term investor.
Patient investors will be rewarded as the diesel generator market is worth £25 billion.
GLA
Did he just call it GOP?
My god you are utterly dim and clueless!
My understanding is that we make 0.5% on every payment transaction.
The merchant saves up to 3% through open banking.
10% I imagine is an initial offer with 5% becoming the norm long term.
Ignore Flower he was ramping and predicting 120p back in the spring. He is clearly is not a shareholder anymore and just posts negatively about mode looking for a lower re-entry.
The company are a different beast now to back in the spring and are moving in the right direction - Rome was not built in a day.
Patient investors will be rewarded just look at the market cap £40m!!!
This for the longer term is absolutely huge and like with THG validates our tech/product offering. The patient investor will be rewarded massively here - £35m market cap? Just think about that……
Well done Mode
I also would be happier if ABB had ordered some L- Series as well - I was slightly concerned that the delay in announcing orders was due to a lack of appetite for the liquid cell. We need a more near term boast to revenues (appreciate we are receiving £2m upfront which is not to be sniffed at) with a working product. I think that explains the share price action today.
If not ABB then hopefully we get a sizeable order for the L-series from one of our other partners like Mace.
Come on AFC let’s announce some L-Series orders next and then surely it’s lift off….
Excellent news with our biggest partner but this is just the start…..
Validates the s-series prototype which was always going to be the game changer long term.
DW welcome back to Europe, ironic that you accuse AB of being disingenuous when you clearly can’t be trusted with your negative spin and lying about being in NYC to fit your agenda against AB not being at the US conference with ABB.
You have shown your true colours once again….
GLA
Leave DW alone, he was posting all through the night in NYC on a Sunday!
Cough cough……
I have a feeling the next couple of weeks are going to be very exciting indeed.
Good times are coming…..
GLA
I have no idea if there will be an RNS tomorrow or this week for that matter. What I do know is that Ade needs to be sent on grammar and trading courses.
God I hope we get an update soon so that we can talk about something tangible and new……
Come on AFC!
