They gave it to United Oil & Gas in August 2020 - Since then the share price of United Oil & Gas has fallen 92%. During the same period Tullow has fallen by 40%.

So I take it you're congratulating Tullow for avoiding the mirage of the 7 billion of barrels of oil in Jamaica????

Imagine the weekend the manager of Helikon is having - now sitting on a £2.73 million loss on their Tullow short position from 25th November when their absolute greed made them go insane. They could have walked away with a huge profit then but like all reckless gamblers they doubled down. Their upside was tiny.......their downside.....£2.73 million to date, it will get bigger and bigger then they will need to find a seller of near 2% of Tullow shares (how many of them are there in this bull run)..........I see a short squeeze coming very soon.

Whenever you're disappointed with Tullow just spare a thought for the lads at Helikon who instead of closing out their highly profitable short on 25th November 2025 at .035p they increased their short by 40% - following which Tullow is up by 285%.

They are going to have to close out of that position soon - unless they want to lose another fortune.

If you want to feel better about your investment in Tullow just think of the poor sap in Helikon Investments who increased his short by 40% when Tullow was less than 4p.

Tullow's share price is the same today as it was after it released its dreadful statement on 6th August. Since then, there have been significant improvements in all areas, including production, management, capital structure repair, and reduced debt. Most importantly, the price of oil is 50% higher than on 6th August 2025 yet the share price remains the same. 

Dear oh dear, if the bond is repaid which the price indicates it will be then the market implies there's (more) equity in Tullow you 1/2 wit.

Bizarre share price performance, oil at $100 and Tullow bonds up to near 94c, highest in over 12 months.

I'm a chartered accountant and even I'm bamboozled by that......no that it is wrong, far from it, it's just light years from the standards in the old days!

BP is up 15% since the start of the war......Tullow, as of now, is up 25%.

It is amazing they didn't sell out at 3.5p, their upside from there was tiny - their downside risk was potentially calamitous - as has been proven, and can only get worse.

Given the market cap (£126m) but an Enterprise Value of £2 billion any movement in positive sentiment should move the share price, the Iran issue is one but the refinance determines everything. Tullow is a binary investment as of now, you make 5 times your money within the year or lose it all. I'm on the positive side and hold 500,000 shares (which didn't cost me me 10p). Best of luck with your investment. If it was me, I would stick with it.

Obviously you've had a dreadful day, again, and you're cross.

Short squeeze causing a 25% rise with only 1% being short isn't possible.

I suspect the confirmation of a refinance of the bonds has leaked.
