You're correct that II's could have bought in the open market at 7p (as I said)... But they didn't.

The public (and II's) were able to buy prior to Jiangxi paying $18m for 5%. They valued the company at....7p a share.

Solg were out of cash and this dilution was considered less obvious than adding to the published share total (even though the shares sold were previously in control of the company, and as such an asset owned by shareholders which we now don't own).

It would seem this is the most solg could raise. $18m for 5% of the company. $360m for the lot.
